According to racist liberals, it is.

[What is the point of always saying that Blacks are left out? They really do have the same opportunity as anyone else to become a police officer, fire fighter or anything else they aspire to be.]

In the country''s 300+ history there has still never been a woman president either. There has never been a gay president either. And still no black president yet. What is the point of always saying that Blacks are left out? They really do have the same opportunity as anyone else to become a police officer, fire fighter or anything else they aspire to be. Is the point of bringing the subject up to make white Americans feel guilt? Is it to make it appear Blacks are not being hired? Anyone in this country can become whatever they would like to be. All it takes is confidence, work and persistence. And stop whining!

This will all change under Obama. All Officers will be black.

Of course these Officers will be as unqualified as Obama is to be Commander in Chief, but this is the "change" and "progress" Obama wants to bring to us.

Do you think that it could be that most black solders don''t want to continue in the military?
There are much better paying jobs outside in the privite sector who is FORCED by federal law to promote blacks and non-whites over whites. The law doesn''t say that in so many words, but just because a community has 20% blacks, companies "HAVE TO" hire and promote up to 20% "Non-white" employees or they are excluded from any type of government contracts. If that''s not forcing, I don''t know what is.

[Welcome to lib social engineering for the military. First it was ''''don''''t ask, don''''t tell'''', soon it will be affirmative action officer corps. Qualified? No. Non white? Come on in.]

you''re not too bright, are you?

the story says clearly that the blacks are ''not'' getting those roles because of the positions they''re taking when joining.

those from the combat ranks are more likely to get the officer opportunities ... it has nothing to do with race, political affiliation, or liberals ... despite the fact that this is the way you see everything that''s in front of you.

The statement - Most often mentioned is that black recruits are showing less interest in pursuing combat jobs, which are more likely to propel them through the officer ranks - says it all.
Young officers to be are told routinely about the promotion system and chances of making the highest ranks goes to the combat arms officers - yet Blacks choose not to select those career fields.
Now if you want inequities - talk about Hispanics????

During the Vietnam war we always heard that it was a war brought out by the white folks, and the blacks as soldiers were dying. Such perception may have discouraged the blacks from the military carrier. Hence the lower percentage of blacks in military. The issue is not always racial.
