Maybe the proverbial raincloud over a certain presidents head, raining and crashing thumnder and lightening continuously while it is sunshie all around him. This would be poetic justice, maybe even a wake up call.

If it would take out a certain texas ranch, then i would believe it was the will of God.

How true, ubrew12. How true. Or, should I say, "Amen".

The irony is that many of those who lost their homes to these fires live in an area of California that''s very religiously conservative (East of Redding). It''s also incredibly beautiful up there. I wonder how they felt, to be burned out ''by God'', and laughed at by all those other religious conservatives who could barely contain their glee at another''s misfortune.

My take on the fundamental logical inconsistency behind religous conservatism is wrapped up in their two central thoughts:
1. When bad things happen to me, its Satan at work.
2. When bad things happen to YOU, its God''s sweet justice.

They don''t seem to recognize how self-serving that logic is, and that it may, somehow, be wrapped up in their petty ego.

Very good observation, ubrew12. But I think the Prez. is whacking a little something in addition to those weeds. He''s wacking his wood too! Strut around the ranch, whack the wood -- er -- weeds...

Newsflash:
Our religious lunatic buddies have assured us over and over again that California''s wildfires are punishment for its recognition of gay marriage. Since Texas doesn''t recognize gay marriage, then there''s no need to bother boarding up your windows, guys. God will protect you from this storm. Don''t be afraid.

Forgive me, but I''m having way too much fun with the religious lunatics tonight. Here guys! Have a bible and a straight jacket!!!

Ubrew12: Oh, now I see what you mean. Yes, this President has been out of office more than any other president in history. I had forgotten that Bush''s ranch was in Crawford. Well, hurricane or not he will get his due in time.

I just think it has too many weeds. Our President has taken more vacation time than any other president in history, and he seems to spend it all weed-wacking in Crawford. A good hurricane should put an end to all those weeds, and we could maybe have our president back.

I pray it gains strength in the Gulf of Mexico, becomes a Cat 5, and parks itself over Crawford.

Perhaps you have something against Crawford? Obviously you do know that a category 5 hurricane would destroy a city, so it''s sad that we live in a society where people want to hurt other people this way. Maybe you live in Crawford and want the rain it would bring. If not and you want it to go to Crawford to do harm, then you need help.

Hey tropical storms and hurricanes are back. I was beginning to think global warming was a hoax. Guess not.
