to dig: Yes, it was sarcasm, but with how the neocons interpreted the New Yorker cover as ospel, who knows or even cares if they will get it?

first i would like to address peacedreamer,GOP forever and callmecrackd. you are stupid and insensitive. "lawyers suck" and "divorce does not make god happy" last time i checked murder is not synonymous with peace. keep your idiotic, half-baked comments to yourself.
thank you to jhlarsen apparently you are the only one dealing with a full deck. this was a sweet, warm couple who did not deserve such a brutal demise. think before u speak crackd. u obviously are aware of your dementia and u should keep it in check.

I''m getting pretty sick of these neanderthals turning everything into a forum for a political statement. This has nothing to do with politics, nimrods. Go to the political section if you want to push your slanted views. Yep, I''m talking to you, right wing nut jobs. Get freaking life and leave us normal people alone.

Divorce is always a messy deal and in most cases the lawyers go for the financial structure of the defending spouse. As usual the wind up with about 30% of the take. Thats enough to drive most people over the edge, it surprise''s me it doesn''t happen more often. The high point is they spared the dog, probably drugged him before tying him up.

Divorce makes people crazy because it rips a marriage in two. Once two people are bonded through the emotional, and social commitment of marriage, it''s painful for that commitment to end. Some divorce attorneys don''t take that pain seriously enough, running roughshod over the two people''s lives in hopes to manipulate them into giving up more money and custody than is sensible, just so the lawyers can feel powerful and get richer. HOWEVER, murder is always WRONG, no matter how much pain the murderer might be in, if the murderer turns out to be a party to one of their cases.

Divorce does not make God happy. He smited those two as a warning to others that oaths to him are to be taken seriously. All liberal (yes they were liberals, just look at the hyphenated wifes name) lawyers beware.

You are an idiot, God does not use murder he is all powerful. Opps I forgot your god does needs humans to do his bidding he isn''t powerful enough to do it himself.

How profoundly unfortunate that stories like this are exploited by those whose primary objective is to advance their political views. I am a Christian, and as such, I fully understand that "Divorce does not make God happy...", but based on what I know of God (and Jesus Christ, for that matter), He commands us to love one another. I don''t see God using murder to smite those who don''t make him "happy".

Also, for the record, I''m generally of the more liberal political persuasion. Does that make be subject to being smitten as well?

A few years back ,when a divorce lawyer & judge were killed out west, they had just taken land from a family that owned it for generations. The propaganda system had to go wild ,spouting about a "wonderful family man murdered".The public had to be brainwashed quickly-they saw "justfiable homocide".

The newspaper said the couple''s German shepherd was found tied up in the back yard.

Spare the dog and execute the people? Definitely somebody they ticked off.
