Air traffic control is still suffering nearly 30 years after Ronald Reagan fired the controllers in 1980. Someone had better get busy fixing this problem because their luck will run out eventually.

feddupp here''s your answer: okay, take two plances and move them 1/2 mile apart. Now leave one on the ground and lift the other one 200 feet ... can you see it now? ...

It simply means the difference in their altitudes was 200 feet but they were a half-mile apart horizontally

"We''ve been trying to change that for the last 12, 13 years. It''s been an accident waiting to happen."

This sounds like a culture problem, the same type of attitude in NASA that doomed Challenger.

Will someone please explain to me how two objects can be "200 feet" from each other "vertically" and a "half-mile" away "horizontally???"

I just cannot picture this!
