I can only hope that the Kid sues them. He needs to get a good lawyer and go after them for false arrest.

They should be made an example of...

No good deed goes unpunished. Imagine how this kid
is going to feel about cops in the future. He''s
going to be pissed off after getting pissed on. The
stories that came out after this incident made him out
to be a druggie and a liar and possible terroristic
threat. People remember the inital stories not the
fact he was innocent. Yeah there are people who do
these sorts of things. But they usually don''t go
out of their way to tell you their name and why
they''re there. DUH?

shame on the police and the media for being too quick to convict without (good)evidence.

Because the Dogs ''alerted'' on the basket and Car it''s possible that one of his friends had ridden in it while in the possession of drugs. or like he said, the ''toke'' he smoked might have done it.

The last story on this incident says the police did get "sick" from eating the cookies. Now it says they did not. What the hey is going on here? Sounds like a typical PIG caper.

This poor kid can''t win for losing, He is like all other kids that came under scrutiny of the authorities whether guilty or not, he is tried, convicted and sentenced by the Police Media Mob simply for having been noticed by the Cops. Since Blacks don''t get ''community service'' punishments I guess he was ''White''.

So do those dogs and LSD tests always indicate positive to support the officers'' claims? Is that what they mean by the police calling for back-up?
Have they been framing people now falsely imprisoned, for years?
It''s a victimless crime, so it''s their call who goes to jail, evidently even if they''re innocent.
Wasn''t Cheney''s nephew busted for growing A LOT of marijuana, then let off?
Didn''t the FBI''s laboratory get caught for faking results to convict people a few years ago?
Didn''t Karl Rove just refuse to answer a summons?
So much for equal treatment under the law. It is selective.

The police officer should be charged with false arrest. They are extremely incompetent.
