Findings On Climate Change's Health Effects Dropped At VP Office's Urging, Former EPA Official Says

The sea level will rise if the southern ice sheet and places like Greenland that have large glaciers also melt. These ice sheets are on land. Should they melt, the level of the sea will rise.
People with sub-high school educations like yourself should not be so quick to scoff at things educated people say. - Posted by gwagener

Try to make an effort to stop being factual, and put the brakes on that ''tellin it like it is'' thing too. That''s not what we do here in the good ''ol USofA. It''s just not ''right''...not anymore, anyway.

So, why do you hate America? ;-)

Hey gwagener; Maybe if your higher education (community College?) would have taught you to read with comprehension you would have picked up that he was quoting Al Gore. Get off your "high and mighty" suit stance and pay attention.

That''s what this administration does. They come up with the conclusion first then cherry pick the info to support their conclusion. They did it with climate change, Iraq and now they are doing it with Iran.

Wake up, people.

Nothing matters to Cheney. He''s still making millions from Halliburton.

The thing to take away from this story is that the selection of the VP candidate is critically important this election. The selection of VP will tell us a lot about how powerful Obama and McCain want the office of VP to be. Also, McCain''s selection is particularly important as he is much less likely to run in 2012 if he wins in 2008, so his VP is also likely his selection to succeed him in the 2012 election (if not sooner).

Raise your hand if this is news to you.

You know, unlike the millions who wish harm on these clowns in the White House, I wish them long life. I want them to be around to suffer the full consequences of their corruption and greed. Riots over food shortages, asthma from polluted air, cancer and failing kidneys from consuming contaminated food and water, a plethora of untreated illnesses from the collapse of our health care system, destitution and homelessness from a failed economy, war in their back yards as the crows come home to roost. Oh yes, live long and prosper, George and Co.

[Yes, it got cut for a third time.]

Yep, I''ve posted the same message three times myself. Let''s see if it gets kicked again.

Look, I once saw a post on here where somebody stated that there was nothing wrong with the president that a stout rope and tall oak tree couldn''t cure--that got posted, to my surprise. So I''m not seeing why these posts today, much milder in content, are being cut. Unless the FISA vote has so emboldened the press that they feel invulnerable?

It took me 3 posts on another site to post some McCain flip-flops. An earlier poster fruitloop347 posted 10 and asked me to add to his list. I added another 7 and the first 2 times, it didn''t get posted. I finally changed a few words and single spaced and it went through. This has not happened to me before and I''ve been posting for along time now. It really does cause some concern. I understand why they need to keep profanity out and I understand CBS cannot allow threats, but by comparison to some posters, i''m at best, a PG rated poster.

AP NEWS: Volcanoes erupting beneath Arctic ice

New evidence deep beneath the Arctic ice suggests that a series of underwater volcanoes have erupted in violent explosions in the past decade.

Hidden 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) beneath the Arctic surface, the volcanoes can range up to more than a mile (2 kilometers) in diameter and a few hundred yards (meters) tall. They formed along the Gakkel Ridge, a lengthy crack in the ocean crust where two rocky plates are spreading apart, pulling new melted rock to the surface.

The eruptions discharge large amounts of carbon dioxide, helium, trace metals and heat into the water over long distances, he said.

The research, detailed in Thursday''s issue of the journal Nature, was funded by NASA, the National Science Foundation and Woods Hole.

BAN THE VOLCANOES!

I do advocate bringing Bush and Cheney to criminal court though; let''''s see if this one is allowed.

The CBS censures are at work people. My last post has been pulled too. This marks the 3rd time today, and at no time have I used profanity, nor inferred violence. I do advocate bringing Bush and Cheney to criminal court though; let''s see if this one is allowed.

Wow health effects from a 1 degree increase would be what more heat stroke? - Posted by cbscrash07

A 1 degree increase in the AVERAGE temperature. That means that you could easily have a 10 degree increase in the most extreme high temperatures in any given year. So, if you live in an area where your highest daytime summer temperature is 106, you''re looking at future highs of 116.

Of course, that 1 degree average increase is now appearing to be a complete pipe dream. We''ll probably see at least twice that.
