GOD BLESS YOU GOMER!! Every man women and child should have a gun issued to them with their drivers license. We live in a dangerous nation where you can not trust your neighbor, you best friend or your WIFE!! I have had a few run ins with cranky seniors and had I had a pistol within arms length, well needless to say I would have won that argument over who was first in line at the grocery checkout!!! Not sure where your neighborhood is .. but I seriously doubt you ever stepped out in say .. south central LA, Houstons Walnut Bend, South Dallas, Dorchester, Roxbury, Springfield MA,

There are tons of crime ridden communities in this country .. and the notion that if one does not have the right to defend thier family or thier property is preposterous ...

Many of us "sheltered" Americans who are not living in crime ridden, drug, gang infested communities or have been subjected to a violent crime can sit in judgement and pooh pooh the reality .. this is not a video game you can just turn off ..

This is indeed an argument for having guns on your person, at home or on the street. So why not put that in the Constitution, an amendment to own weapons for self-defense or even for any purpose the individual may determine?

Now that the Supreme Court has ruled that the 2nd Amendment does not necessarily connect to state security or any consideration for that matter but an unconditional guarantee of the individual''s right to possess weapons and military arsenal for whatever use they may be deemed necessary, we await how this is all going to shake out. I believe it to be a sad day in our country when our leaders cannot and will not admit when they are wrong. That D.C. gun ban was wrong. I would like to know how many innocent lives were lost there because they could not protect themselves, because of that ban. Now that the ban has been lifted, I want to know why these people who are so against guns, think that it is going to get worse. That ban had been in place for over thirty years and it did nothing to stop crime. D.C. is still one of the worst places to live. If that doesn''t say failed policy I don''t know what does. Personally, I think that many of these people who are against guns are really just cowards themselves. Cowards, who are dependant on the police and anybody else who would come to their aid, because they themselves would not have the courage to protect and defend themselves and their families. I hope the day never comes that I am not mentally and physically strong enough, willing or able to protect and defend , myself and my family. The people of this Great Country are becoming to weak and dependant.
