Maybe, if we wanted a healthier better America we should turn to God to heal our land?

Defend from who? If you folks wouldn''t constantly babble this craap, then you wouldn''t have to defend it.

Strong Winds Hamper Calif. Fire Efforts? We have fires, floods, tornadoes, crime and a bad economy, gas prices food prices no jobs losing of homes? Sounds a bit like Pharaoh saying no to God when Moses told him about the Lord?
Maybe, if we wanted a healthier better America we should turn to God to heal our land? Just think? It happened another time in the annuals of history? Yeah God was going to destroy this place called Nineveh and the people repented and God spared them. We could do this in America?

To all you self righteous bible thumpers,
First real Christians are not critics of others they love unconditionally and second instead of preaching on the internet why don%u2019t you try praying for California so we don''t burn. Plus try these two organizations and make a donation to help all of God%u2019s creatures. Humans and animals are all suffering.

Is it to hard for you to ask God to intercede for us and stop these fires as well, seeing this is another way you can help? Look up and ask his hand to stop the winds?

Here is an example of what happens when you focus so much on the metaphor that you miss the message entirely:

"There''s a wonderful story of the God who is walking down the road wearing a hat that is colored red on one side and blue on the other side. When the farmers in the field go into the village in the evening, they say, "Did you see that god with the blue hat?" And the others say, "No, no, he had a red hat on." And they get into a fight. He makes it even worse by first walking in one direction and then turning around and turning his hat around, too, so that again it will be red or blue. Then when these two chaps get into a fight and are brought before the king for judgment, this trickster god appears, and he says, "It''s my fault, I did it, and I meant to do it. Spreading strife is my greatest joy."

barbaraf4 are you calling Jesus a liar?

Posted by Providence_F at 03:25 PM : Jul 05, 2008

In other words some poor ba5tard who was raised with an entirely different belief system who has done no evil will still burn in hell.

Any man who thinks that he is so special as to know gods mind that he has the stones to write it down in a book is the epitome of arrogance and hubris.

I like how you put that.
But God got you on this point as well?
*** 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
God will reveal himself to all. The sad thing is self gets into the way. We say no to God? There is no devil no demon who can stop the message of the cross from an individual who chooses no to self and yes to him!

Has anyone noticed the National Guard has been called in to help fight the fire? I wasn''t sure we had any National Guard in the US. Hopefully they can help!

Not everyone needs to be "saved" and there are many paths to God.

Posted by barbaraf4 at 02:41 PM : Jul 05, 2008

You just called Jesus a liar!
Because Jesus said "I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the father but by me."
And Jesus said "All who came before me were thieves and liars!

barbaraf4 are you calling Jesus a liar?

I have to admit I admire your tenacity; however you really need to get a life outside of your Bible. Remember me? I''m the one who professes to be a Christian. You have no idea of how my religion manifests in my life (because I told you it was none of your business). So, go find an athiest to harrass.

Its Christian ethics 101:
When bad things happen to me, I may be just wanting what I want.
When bad things happen to you, it may be because of sins consequence!

It was Gods justice that Jesus would die for sin. It was Gods wisdom for this His plan was his love for us his power saves us!
The sin in our lives is there period its in our nature. The way of salvation is available to all this is Gods grace! But you have to decide do you want a relationship or self? the choice is yours?
