also what this story does not say is that the uncle is the one who "found" an article of her clothing near the floating bridge, which is not where they found brooke. they found her near the uncle''s home. so he must have planted the piece of clothing at the bridge to throw the authorities off from him. this was cold and this was calculated. put the pedophile in G.P. and let the wolves have at him. may the uncle and the stepfather both rot in h*ll.

bless brooke bennett. this community is never going to be the same again.

and, just so all know, the evidence that gagnon destroyed was a laptop computer. he arranged to send the message to brooke''s myspace account from his laptop in texas and he came to vt and called his roommate to tell him to throw out his laptop. that aired on the local news at 11 last nite. so he should be held for abetting this crime. both the uncle and the stepfather should receive the death penalty. vt doesn''t use it but i think in this case it should.

I agree with your sentiments. I also know of a case where a child molestor was found out in jail. He was severely beaten and raped in every way possible. The sick B-A-S-T-A-R-D liked it.

I would also say if i saw someone abducting a child or molesting one i would probably save the tax payers the cost of a trial.

I agree with most of your statement but to cinsider all men child predators and molestors is ludicrous. I am a grandfather and love children. I would never dream of hurting one. The thought of someone having *** with an innocent child sickens me as much as it does you. When i moved to this neighborhood i started buying candy and giving it to the children. Some childrens parents are too poor to afford to buy them candy ever. I did this when the parents were present. This way i met the parents who introduced me to their neighbors. Now everyone i the neighborhood knows me. I would never try to touch or lure a child away. I enjoy seeing them playing in the neighborhood and their smiling faces. I also have an elephant that comes to my door once a week. If i am not outside when he calles me, then he rings my door bell. I feed him. I love the interaction with animals. I fid cobras and give them to the local snake farm for antivenom. The snakes get a good home, are safe from being killed, and provide venom to make antivenom. A win-win situation for all.

Vermont State Police say they have found a body believed to be that of a missing 12-year-old girl.

Col. James Baker says Brooke Bennett''s body was found in Randolph

In reading this they first say they "Believe" then the very next line is they DID find the body of the missing girl Brooke. They confirmed it before they even wrote the second paragraph of this story.

The biggest rule of thumb is to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. But how do you know who your enemies really are? In this case, as with many cases of rape, the victims know their attackers. They trust them. They go with them freely. How can one know?

There is only one true logical solution - parents must be their children''s number one friend. Children will always confide in friends about anything because they trust their friends and feel that friends can understand anything. Parenting isn''t just about being an adult. It is actually about "re-growing" with your children and developing a "code" language just like friends. That is the only way to find out what kids are truly doing.

I feel terrible for this family and for all of the posters who feel that their posts are the most intelligent in the world. This isn''t about proving a point to make yourself look big. A family lost a young girl. You all need to be focused on that one point. Folks, it is time to move from silly posts to offering the world a real ******* to protecting our children. This girl will never come home, but at least she can be laid to rest. God rest her soul and comfort the souls of her family.

I was afraid it would come to this. Story didn''t add up to begin with. Just look at that guy. You can see there''s something wrong with him, just like most of the child offenders, one look, and your mind says, something ain''t right here....

A... I blame the real mom for letting the child hang tith a sexual predator,B.... I believe this should happen, take the uncle and the step dad, and slowly torture them both raping them and gagging them and let all the men in those prisons do whatever to them they want. So that every day for the rest of their life the suffer so bad, I think all these men and woman who do these things to children should have the same thing done to them except 100 percent worse and longer. These type of people do not deserve to breathe but i also believe death penalty and such should not happen instead slow torture with any objects and means that make them feel exactly and more then what their victims went through.
