NYC Woman's Videotaped Death Recalls Similar Incident Last Year In Los Angeles
- Unlike brianbwb, erasmus, jwhitman etc and the other liberal bloggers on this site that post ALL DAY LONG barking at the moon and turning every story on this politically left leaning newsite into some kind of "I told you so" about republicans or conservatives, I just keep it real every once in a while and thin out the liberal herd here and there.
Thanks for all the stories and liberal rants. You make me feel good about myself. - Reply to this comment
- So i guess what we need to do is to have a democrat in every office. Bail out the slobs that can''''t pay their mortgage and caused this PERSONAL DECISION CRISIS that is reported in the news media as a "sub prime mortgage crisis" or "the housing market crisis". We''''ll also haev gov''''t controlled health care in which EVERYBODY gets the same thing no matter what we do. We''''ll make all the illegal immigrants citizens just like we do all the people that went through the normal legal channels to gain citizenship. Things will be great. It''''ll be the Republic of the USA. Communism for all.
Oh Wait....we live in a democracy.
Now I know why liberals are always so mad. They were born in the wrong country.
Move to China or Korea and live happily and hippily ever after.

No my liberal friend. Conservatives are quick to point out that Government Regulated Healthcare is Socialist because it is. The system may need to be changed or adjusted but Government regulated or controlled healthcare is not the answer. You liberals with your collectivist ideals never really get it. We live in America and it is not a communist country.
Liberals have a bleeding heart for the inner city, ironically, they live nowhere near the inner city. - Reply to this comment

I believe you are the incorrect one here, This is what happens when a government run by the wrong people for the wrong reasons, and with the wrong motivations interjects itself into health care.
There is no reason that government run health care cannot be more efficient than private health care, except for the greed of the bureaucrats who would steal the funding, at the expense of the sufferers, and that is no different than most privately run institutions.
Also, when health care costs are determined as they now are, by collusionary practices between insurers, health institutions, doctors and pharmacies, where will the average person in America, who cannot afford health care now, be able to have access?

- Horrific, unforgivable, beyond disgusting! The callous indifference to human suffering demonstrated by the staff and patients in this video must be addressed immediately by the Government and is an excellent demonstration of the need for government run health care! What? ....What''s that you say? ... Oh... Kings County IS government run Health Care? You bet your life it is. If it is like any other government run facility I know (and I have practiced in a few) it is dominated by self serving bureaucrat idiots who are perpetually interfering with attempts by health care professionals trying to do their jobs. The bureaucrats try to expand the protective shield around their jobs while decreasing clinical staff and dumbing down the doctors, the patients and everybody else. This is what the government does when it interposes itself into your health care. I have seen it repeatedly and those of you who believe otherwise are simply wrong.

I am soooo glad the candidates
aren''t talking about changing
this system.
Meanwhile, I agree with the Gov.
I also was "disgusted".
I mean, how can the hospital be clean
with a dead body on the floor?
Think of the germs.

Hahaha, that''''s funny. Actually, I think on this website once, there was an article saying that a lot of Americans couldn''''t find their own country on a map. I found that hard to believe.

Can anyone say murder in a hospital?
Anyone?
There isn''t even a Katrina thing
going on outside of these hospitals.
Maybe it''s a "King" thing?
It was cute of the gov to say he was
more that "horrified".
Good going gov.
Oh, and I am horrified also.- Reply to this comment
- So the Bush assertion that all Americans already have access to free quality medical care by simply going to their local hospital emergency room may have a few flaws, eh?

They should start paying attention to what is happening to the American homeless. There are videos showing the hospitals putting them into taxis and dropping them off on skid row, and they are still in their hospital gowns. - Reply to this comment

- I call BS on the negative comments about Universal Health Care. I currently live overseas in a country that has universal health care. I pay 1.5% out of my taxes to health care and get BETTER care than I ever got in the USA, including having surgery done to fix problems that my USA health insurer said were not life threatening. The problem is that since health care is privatized in the USA, you only get good care if you can afford it. If you can''''t afford it, tough luck, sucker. Posted by O2BeWealthy"
I don''t doubt what you say for a minute. I am curious which country you are talking about... - Reply to this comment

Maybe replace the word "running" with "regulating". - Reply to this comment
- The State of NY has one of the largest, most oppressive, self righteous, socialist policies towards business and regulation anywhere in the world.
Look at how the State of NY runs its own financial house, how it runs it public institutions and this story is just one example of the huge level of incompetence across the state. How dare the State of NY regulate businesses and levy huge fines for the most minor of issues while running public institutions so incompetently. There are countless other states without half the problems of NY and these states have little if any regulation at all.
NY State loves to wrap itself up in the state flag touting itself as the protector of all consumers, and fighting against corporations which it regards all as ill serving the public. Ask any businessman in the State how it is working in NY under their draconian rules and regulations. Its a mess.
Sad story but likely just one of many instances - but this time caught on tape. I bet that camera isn''t working right now. - Reply to this comment
- To all you nice people in Canada, that hopes your country never gets as rotten as the USA. Just a little advice. Ban our stupid president, and VICE president from your nice country. They would spoil it real quick.

Your excellent comments remind me of this lady I once knew, who I had come to understand was poorest of the poor as she grew up. She started having health problems but couldn''t get any care unless it was an emergency, but by then it was too late as she had advanced cancer. They had her in the hospital a couple of days and sent her home with her sister, where she died with nothing. Our system in the US sucks big time. - Reply to this comment
