Read about the Castle Law here

If I''m ever in his situation, I would have done the same thing.

Justice involves punishment proportional to the crime. Saying someone deserves to die because they break any law is ridiculous.

Yes MartelV, because exceeding the speed limit and intruding onto someone''''s property and breaking into their home to loot their belongings is a pretty good analogy. - Posted by yankeerebel7

Yes, it is a good analogy. It''s not just "pretty good" either. In fact, your chances of killing somebody by exceeding the speed limit are pretty good. The chances of your killing of somebody on the road by exceeding the speed limit are astronomically greater than the chances of anybody being harmed by two guys breaking into an empty house to steal whatever they could. So they''re burglars and you''re going to kill somebody. Let''s see, stealing/killing. I can''t see the difference...if I''m you and braindead. Buy a clue.

And hopefully, the next time you break the law somebody will shoot you in the act, and in the back, right?

If someone breaks into your house go ahead and shoot. No one broke into Horn''s.

I think he is the man of the year for doing this. they were criminals and they devserved every bullet they got. I would''ve shot them over and over again. If someone was breaking into my house (for example) i dont care how old he or she is. I would shoot them all even if it is a kid

"Mind your own business, don''''''''t get involved. Ask if you can pick up their trash an throw their empties away"

There''s a middle ground between not intervening in any crime and shooting someone in the back.

How can you prove they aren''''t under reported? You can''''t, which is why you engage in lame attempts to spin reality into the delusional fantasy you want to believe in.

Hey you moron .... I''m the one providing the facts! You''re the one providing the spin to support your opinion.

Yep, that''s right. And hopefully, the next time you break the law somebody will shoot you in the act, and in the back, right? Hey, if you exceed the speed limit, for example, there''s only one reason: you don''t care if you kill people. Get used to it and expect it. Then when it happens it won''t come as a big surprise.

Obviously, the desire to kill people is why these burglars figured they should break into an empty house with a knife. So they had to be shot in the back with a shotgun. And what''s good for one is good for all. Yeah, kill ''em all.

There will be good big homes and huge tracts of land available for ''all'' of us when we''ve gotten rid of the 97 percent of the population which insists on breaking the law from time to time. And if you''re one of the 97 percent - or even if you aren''t but we suspect that you are - too bad.

I am proud of Texas for granting the right for its hard-working black and white citizens alike to protect their property and lives from criminal intruders. Other states should learn.

So I catch a 17 year old kid drinking a beer, I caught a criminal in the act. Do I get to shoot him too?

Only if you shoot him in the back. Hell, he''s gonna throw his beer at you over his shoulder. There''s nothing else you can do. And you''ll be a hero.....

...to people who belong in insane asylums. (Which, btw, we desperately need to re-establish in this country before the whole society completely disintegrates.)

I am embarrassed for Texas and ashamed that they are even associated with the good USA. Texas is a land of hate, murder, executions, and big pickup trucks for those wannabe cowboys with uh, small, uh stetsons! I wish they would just become part of Mexico and leave the normal Americans alone!

Really? Because you assertion that Miss and Texas are the 2 most racist states didn''''t come close to the stats.
Hate Crimes per Capita
# 35 Texas
# 49 Mississippi

Many towns and cities in the U.S. do not report ''hate crimes'' at all unless they want to charge some member of a hated minority with such a crime. This standard is followed pretty consistently in all of the states of the deep south and in Texas. There are other states where it''s the typically established norm also: Utah, Wyoming, Idaho for example.

It''s done all over the country, actually, but the areas I mentioned are especially opposed to prosecuting for, or enforcing laws against, ''hate crime'' offenses. There''s no mystery about this at all. It''s both obvious in the extreme and common knowledge nationwide. So you can play stupid just as much as you want, but it will only succeed in making you appear remarkably foolish as well as ignorant.

How can you prove they aren''t under reported? You can''t, which is why you engage in lame attempts to spin reality into the delusional fantasy you want to believe in.

Once again, I have lived there. I have family there. I know the reality, and I don''t give a *** what anybody who lives there wants other people to think. I''ve lived all over this country in my 62 years...the south (including Texas, for those Texans who only want to occasionally agree, when it might make an irrelevant point, that they live in the south), the midwest, the east coast, the west coast. I''ve lived in cities, in suburbs, and in rural areas. I''ve met my neighbors and the people I''ve worked with. I know what they think and how they think.

So you might have a problem with me because I tell the truth but, as far as I''m concerned, that would either put you on the lunatic fringe or it would mean that you''re stupid, ignorant or delusional - or a combination thereof. Get used to it; then do something about it before the mass stupidity destroys the nation. See, I can''t do anything about it since I''m not contributing to the problem. It''s up to you.
