1. those who have the delusion they will be safer if they have a gun. apparently they think they will be more likely to be armed in a situation, or have a bigger gun, or a quicker draw, or better aim, than the other guy. they assume they are the "good guy" and good guys win. They think a gun gives them some edge in a conflict.

2. those who think if everyone had a gun we would all be safer. that is just as crazy as it sounds.

If guns were to be outlawed then only the criminals and cops would have one. Since the cops can''''t and won''''t be everywhere at all times, that would leave our cities and neighborhoods at the mercy of the criminals. Isn''''t DC, with a gun ban, the murder capital of the country?

I don''t know who this mythical person is who wants everyone to have a gun. Gun banners seem to meet this person all the time but I know I have never met him.

As for the other part of your argument, there are plenty of people who every day defend themselves with a gun. Even old women and cripples. I am not Rambo but I figgure if old woment and cripples can do it, how come a middle aged man can''t?
