...yeah, I mean IF you''re going to have women guards at mens'' prisons - fine.... but obviously you need to make sure they can''t be caught out alone with anyone from the prison population for this very reason. Perhaps that was the plan, and this guy managed to find a loophole.... which I suppose is BOUND to happen - after all, if prison escapes occur from time to time despite all the measure to counter them - getting a female guard alone is bound to happen as well....

Again, kill this animal withOUT spending millions of our dollars to do it....

I smell a legal matter here. Someone is going to end up sueing this county. My condolences to the family of both victim and offender. Both families will have sorrow over this.

"My opinion is that IF our country''''s culture stigma for public mental health treatment would change to something more positive, then fewer minds would be infectible with criminal or antisocial tendencies."

Oh please... typical liberal dribble - blame ''the system'' or some vague construct of ''mental illness'' rather than hold the actual criminal responsible for their behavior. Instead, YOU call THEM the victims? No, they''re IN prison because they are the PERPETRATORS with one or more victims. Here''s a little glimpse at REALITY... some people do very bad things, at times downright evil things... and not because they''re insane - but because they want to do them....

I say, kill this guy

There is no doubt that this type of event spawns anger.

Most inmates never had access to mental health and waiting until incarceration after conviction of their crime, is a poor time to begin.

My opinion is that IF our country''s culture stigma for public mental health treatment would change to something more positive, then fewer minds would be infectible with criminal or antisocial tendencies.

There are whole families complete with muliple generations of serious mental health issues that never get addressed.

Poverty, social disconnection, and lack of education are common signs of the victims.

Our country''s popular attitude of throwing away lives and people, doesn''t help the matter.

Abusive and neglective expressions often posted on this commentary stream should serve as proof that casual attitudes towards expending human life are easily accepted.

Why is this being turned intoa race issue. A woman was raped and murdered. That happens to people of all races. Must their always have to be ignorant people always blaming another race during very tragic times.

Someone explain to me why it makes sense to have women guards at prisons for men. This kind of EOE nonsense is what has led to other recent cases of male prisoners overpowering a female guard and either killing her and/or others as a result. Only men should be guards at prisons for men.
