Lock up ALL the violent thugs we can get our hands on. Put the junkies in rehab. Sterilize the big-time drug dealers. Turn ''em into eunuchs.

This may drive some of you nuts, but if we rid the jail cells of marijuana offenders (no, I don''''t smoke it), we''''ll have plenty of space to put all these gun toting criminals away. That way, our tax dollars can actually be spent keeping our streets safer.

The "Criminal Justice System", like every other Government Buerocracy, is Big Business, and must "Create" it''s own need to exist and expand, creating ever greater budgets for Judges, Courts, Police, Jails, and all the people that are employed in supporting roles. Just like Disease is Big Business for Big Pharm, if they actually invented cures for disease, they''d be putting themselves out of business. Everyday, States and Federal Governments pass new Laws, designed to catch more "Criminals", that will feed ever more Cash into the Machine. There will unfortunately always be retardds willing to "Blow Yer Haid Off", if you look sideways at them, which is a good reson for ALL Law Abiding Citizens to be trained in Firearm Use, and pack a piece. Scumbags would much rather shoot at a group of Unarmed and Helpless individuals, than a room full of Trained and Armed ones. In Florida, if you feel your Life is threatened, you have the Legal Right to use Deadly Force with a Handgun. Good to know you can Shoot Back at these types of Scumbags, and not get grief from the State.

To add : Some of those might exist today...but the one I feel very strong about is the use of a gun in a violent manner. Life in jail. If a man takes a gun into a store and robs the owner, life in jail. If a gangmember shoots another gang member (shot dead or not), life in jail. Point being, it woulnd''''t need a homicide to get life in jail. Maybet hat would make some people think about using their gun.

I am in total agreement, except that I would include other non-gun-related violent crimes as well. Attempted murder should be treated exactly the same way as murder. The intent is the same, with the only exception being that the victim was lucky enough to survive. The victim may be maimed for life. If somebody is proven to be a threat to society, that person should be kept away from society for good.

"Under Kentucky law, business owners are allowed to prohibit people from bringing weapons onto the premises."

This law did a lot of good. Just like every gun law.

I wish these rampages would lead to more talk of employee abuse and its consequences. I wonder how many employees who get treated like *** think about doing this sort of thing but don''t. How many secretly applaud the ones who do?

If it stun the town, you know it had to be more to the story than safety goggles. The leadership of this country - namely consist of corruption - has the public slandering themselves. Its to bad most of these people does not know why this perversion in business and government has saturated this country''s ethics - we start with the White House.

these are good but most exist today. The problem is you have to define things like the black market. If my brother sells me a gun, is that the black market? What if it is passed to me from my grandfather?

I know these sound stupid but they are the issues we have the hard time with.

Another problem, and a very serious one, is that once you start to allow others to take you rights, it starts a deadly precedent. Give up one right and others will be taken soon. it is a govt. tradition.

I realize there are holes and tighter guidelines needed, but it''s the point I''m trying to make. It''s a step in a direction. What it doesn''t do is blame you or him or her. there''s no finger pointing and I think it could be step where both sides could actually agree for once.

Taking away liberties...well, that would be a tough one. But when someone takes another life...that is the biggest liberty taken of all.
