We ARE fascism, in every sense of the definition, and have been for some time!

However it is still within our reach to change it.

The right wing republican neo con party is a totalitarian tribal ideological mindset that claims to be the most "american" but in reality is in opposition to the fundamental principles of the american revolution which is to empower a broad representation of citizenship to defend in opposition to dictatorial and/or oligarchical special interest rule. Many who have immigrated from around the world have found the United States a "land of opportunity" in so much of it being for them a system to exploit for selfish gain. This selfishness comprises right wing republican politicos who represent oligarchs over the citizens of the United States.

That''''s true. One talent that Bush has is the ability to tell a complete lie, straight faced. Probably because he himself is too ignorant to know that what Cheney is getting him to say IS a lie.

First rule of the used-car salesman.
"If you gonna BS somebody else, first you gotta believe your own BS".
A core value in "believer" conciousness.
Apologies to used-car salesmen everywhere. A far more honorable profession than what the idiot-son represents.

Sgt: socon2 believes the facts can be twisted to fit the evidence. But isn''''t that what the Decider decided to do with most issues? Never, ever let the facts get in the way of the real truth.

I ain''t too sure about McClellan - that book may have been an "insurance policy" among other things.
Big difference between revenge and a "pre-emptive strike".

nWouldn''''''''tcha love to be in Scooter Libby''''''''s place right now. He can get anything he wants from Cheney and the idiot son. They gotta be scared to death of ''''''''im.
I bet he gets a full pardon soon.

I''''m betting he dies in a mysterious car "accident" or "commits suicide".

Hmmm, didn''t think of that. Gotta hand it to ''em, they''re not merely stupid, but consistently stupid. They''re leaving behind a "target rich environment". The press secretary has already turned, and there''s plenty more where he came from. Just found two more mentioned in this news article.

And they are getting away with it because the average American doesn''''t BELIEVE that it can happen here. It''''s that lack of attention, that arrogant apathy, that they are counting on to be successful in moving up closer to fascism everyday. The sad truth is that it CAN happen here and it is.

Our history classes taught us a lot about the Nazis before and during WW2. But sadly, we were taught little about the German society that lead to the Nazis gaining control from the 1920s through the 1930s!

I fear that German society, of the 1920s and 30s, were just as apathetic and blinded by patriotism as we are today.

Short of all American Muslims being forced to wearing "special" tatoos, and held in concentration camps... the U.S. is following the path of Germany in the early 20th century!

I believe this could be considered the very definition of corruption. When can we expect to see the indictors inditing those who put them in their current position?

...Yeah right. It''ll never happen.

I wonder if these idiots realize they make themselves easy to infiltrate by having such a simple test. Like the terrorists that took flight lessons and didn''t need to learn how to land a plane, all you have to do is learn to write and join a right wing organization to get you and your "D" average into the system to do some damage. No wonder the Soviets were able to get people into our most sensitive intelligence organizations. Al creepa can too.

Alberto Gonzales and his executives must be charged, tried, convicted and sent to jail. Preferably at Gitmo where they can be waterboarded. Think they''''ll rat?

...all within the Bush regime!

Talk about history repeating itself.
