Executive Privilege Cited Again Over Papers Tied To Administration's Air Quality Policies
- Former President Nixon resigned and was forced out of office over Watergate, but when you look at what the Bush administration has been accused of, Watergate seems like a walk in the Park by comparison! Watergate looks more like minor jaywalking by comparison! Does this indicate former Pres. Nixon had more pride and honor that once tarnished he felt a need to step down? hmmmm

- This week, the dueling parties fell into odious and all-too-familiar patterns. As expected, the GOP, unable to run on its disastrous record, played the fear card. Leaping on Obama''s defense of the rule of law (dear god, not that!), the Republicans pulled out their 2004 playbook and opened it to "Scare Tactics." Newt Gingrich said supporting habeas corpus could lead to the obliteration of a U.S. city. Rudy Giuliani (surprise) evoked 9/11 a bunch of times. John Bolton predicted an Obama presidency would lead to more terrorist attacks. And John McCain lapped it up. Buying into the 2004 mindset, House Democrats promptly removed their gonads and capitulated on telecom immunity and Iraq war funding. That, more than the fear-mongering of the right, is what sent a shiver down my spine.

- GOOD NEWS FOR NEOCONS?
NOW "UN-SARCASMABLE"?
Have they reached in reality the absurdity
level of your best caricature?
Used to wonder why some dems thought it
necessary to add "sarcasm" at the bottom
of their obviously sarcastic posts . .
. .No more.
Try one for yourself:
Give your fictional sarcastically-created
repub the most outlandish dialog you can
think of laughing yourself silly with it''s
absurdity post it and some dem will come
along and call you a neocon scumbag!
Why? Because he sees no difference in
this verbiage from repubs usual responces
thrown at him in his daily classroom trying
to teach them at least a semblence
of education.
BUT, could this becoming a caricature of
oneself be merely the product of ignorance
or the fear of an impending election alone?
OR, is this the last gasp vengeful Rovian
re-formulation of repub kool aid to put
some funny-bone dems out of work? - Reply to this comment
- Another nail in the coffin of the once-proud Republican party.
Everyone already knows this administration to be one of the very worst in US history, and brought to us not just by Darth and Bushit and their Brownshirts, but by the gutless Republican-dominated Congress, who let their "sacred core Republican values" go down the toilet due to their fear of Bushit.
Whatever happened to "Republican fiscal responsibility"?
RIP--thanks, Bushits! - Reply to this comment
- Another reason NOT to vote for McCain...he might pardon this fool like Ford did with Nixon. The fact that this guy will probably never go to jail is a slap in the face to every innocent person who said in jail for years after years and were only freed based on DNA testing. Innocent people going to jail. Guilty people getting libraries named after them. Shameful.
