You mean the law was CHANGED in California and Mass. Why don''t we just change all of our laws, they don''t seem to mean anything.

sgt, because that is not the definition of what marriage, marriage is between a man and woman that is the definition that it has always had, to change that is to change what fundamentally makes marriage.

Wow, that''s odd.. I was always taught that marriage was "A union between two people in the eyes of GOD." Funny, I remember that from Catechism, and I don''t ever remember GOD specifying a man and a woman, or a man and a man, or even a woman and a woman....
Maybe I''m mistaken.... Of course, I was also taught to "Love one another as I have loved you." and "Let he who hath no sin cast the first stone." And since my understanding is that the LAST person who was without sin died a few years after HER SON was hung on a cross, I think the whole lot of the anti-gay people should just shut the **** up already.
Have a nice day:-)
Patrick.

So, now, g a y s can be legally married in California and Mass. I''''ve never cared who boinks whom, but the g a y marriage issue to me is disturbing. I remember through the late 1960''''s and 1970''''s the battle cry of many men was, "It is not necessary to have a piece of paper to prove love." What is different now? Why is it necessary for g a y s to have a piece of paper to prove love? I think this is a sad day for America, and I think that we will reap the consequences. What consequences? I think we will find out.

4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects -will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering.

Every man and woman who has ever been born on this earth will have the opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and accept it or reject it. No one has been left out of God''s plan of salvation.

I make quilts. I don''t like random patterns, and I spend quite a bit of time organizing them into specific patterns. People tell me they are amazing and ask me how I do it. I tell them it was so easy. I keep a box of fabric scraps in the corner of my sewing room, and when I want a quilt to come out of it, I simply put a piece of dynamite in the box and blow it up. When the dust has settled, Wah lah, I always have a well organized and beautiful quilt as a result of the blast.

Top Ten Signs You Are A Fundamentalist Christian
8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

There are Christians who believe the trinity or Godhead are three distinct and separate personages: (1) God the Father; (2) His Son Jesus Christ; and (3) The Holy Ghost.

5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years),

Posted by IRLiberal at 01:27 AM

There is nothing in the Bible that says that God''s six days were six, 24 hour days. We don''t know the length of one of God''s days. It is my understanding that a few is three, and it is also my understanding that the earth is estimated to be approximately 4.7 billion years old. The earth was not created out of nothing; matter has always existed. What I wonder is how scientists know the earth is only 4.7 billion years old. If matter is eternal, then shouldn''t it be older than that?

I live where I can see portions of the geologic layers of the Colorado Plateau wherein every geologic age is exposed from Pre-Cambrian to the Present. There are fossilized oysters and fossilized ferns not more than 12 miles right up the adjacent canyon. The Pre-Cambrian rocks are estimated to be about 2.7 billion years old and the igneous basalt at the top of the mountain is about 10,000 to 30,000 years old. I see God''s handiwork all around me.
