This guy was serving in a war environment. It gets so hot there, you drink and drink and drink water. The body armor only helps deplete your body of necessary minerals.
I was there. It can become difficult to think once you have consumed 6 liters of water with no food.
He can only be rightfully judged by his peers- other Marines. So, if you are not a Jarhead, keep quiet- you don''t rate.

Besides, wasn''t this a ruse? The puppy thrown was fake. The whimpering noise does not fade as the puppy increases in distance. The whimpering was faked by a bystander.

Lets put the blame where it belongs, right on Bill Clintons lap for starting this senseless war the our wonderful President Bush inherited. Obviously this soldier has snapped. He should be taken to the VA for treatment but because of Clintons hatred for the military, the VA doesnt exist anymore.

What ever happened to the idea of serving one''s country honorably? Certainly, the military will be engaged in combat and providing security in Iraq...not recklessly killing puppies. One may argue that the effects of the stress and combat have taken a toll on some soldiers. But that argument can never be used as an excuse to not serve with dignity and honor because every soldier in Iraq were not compelled by anyone except themselves to join the military and serve our country. Throwing a puppy into a rocky gully serves no purpose other than plain cruelty. And if these marines even understood the concept of honor, they would be just doing their jobs and not being recklessly cruel just to let off some steam.

The USMC never trained their marines to kill or use deadly force against any living thing in the conditions depicted on the video. If this marine had done this in civilian clothes and not given any clues about his employer, USMC, I''m sure they wouldn''t be wasting any time with this issue.

All use of deadly force requires a marine to confirm the opponent''s intention to kill or endanger with deadly force. No puppy depicted in this video displayed any intentions to kill or endanger any marines.

This was a simple act of cruelty and stupidity. The USMC has no use for anyone fitting those descriptions to be employed or issued ammunition or weapons.
