- I have seen news conferences on this all day. These guys are all standing around complimenting each other on the great job they did responding and rescueing these kids. Including Governor Chet who must think that he looks good in a flight suit. Never mind that weather warnings were not issued so that these kids could have had more time.

- These scouts were in the great outdoors, doing what they loved. They were Scouts, doing what they were trained to do. By all accounts, they performed with honor, which is what you would expect a Scout to do, and far more than we get from most of our elected leaders, CEO''s and other public figures. May those precious four be forever hiking in the high mountains of heaven. (Eagle, Father of 2 Eagles, and Scoutmaster of 18 Eagles.)
I have no idea how "homeschooling" got on this post, but having homeschooled two (male and female) I can tell you they missed a lot. They missed Cliques. They missed fighting. They missed arrogant incompetant teachers. They missed metal detectors, and guns, and dope and beer parties. They missed teenage pregnancy. They missed it all. Now in college in their 20''s, they are writers, musicians, serve on professor selection committees, bring home 4.0 GPA''s, and are well respected by adults and peers in the community, and known for helping others. One recently saved the life of a child literally dying in her mothers arms.
I only regret I don''t have any more children to "homeschool" - Reply to this comment
- Im appalled at governor Culver*s lack of response to the global warming thunderstorms, tornadoes, and floods. We have no comprehensive strategy in place whatsoever, let alone a detailed plan of action to mitigate the effects of these storms and tornadoes, and mother earth continues to suffer while

- Could God have sent this to punish the scouts for being so mean to ***?

I hope you are being sarcastic here. God doesn''t send tornados to punish and kill children. Some people''s minds are demeanted. Over on the site about the story of the death of the high school graduate who drowned on her trip to Cancun, someone there posted, "It must have been caused by sin." People who believe that must have miserable lives wondering when God is going to get them. Who among us has NO SIN? - Reply to this comment
- Well done young Scouts!!! Condolences to the families on their losses!

The ONLY fix if there is any is POPULATION CONTROL, we keep cutting back, recycling, reducing and yet import MORE oil than ever in history. We have cars that get 300% more MPG than their 1960''s-1970''s counterparts.
The US population was 150 million in 1950 its over 305 million NOW, and THAT is the root of every problem we have from increased crime to shortages to climate issues from pollution.
ANything less than capping the birth rate to reverse growth will have NO effect at all on global climate change, NONE- because every new mouth born adds to the problem. - Reply to this comment
