Senate GOP Stops Dems' Effort To Rein In Profits Of Largest Oil Companies As Gas Prices Soar
- its VERY simple.
The windfall profit tax will DIRECTLY fund electric car subsidies.
That oil price will fall like a ROCK!
I had an electric golf cart yesterday that hauled so much balls it gave ya whiplash and drove it for 36 holes and it was still goin strong!
Watch "WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR". Blockbuster and Netflix both have it.
Demand it from our leadership. Sell oil to China and India all day long.....we have our electric autos AND we have clean air, thank you and, of course, go pound sand and chase it with crude. - Reply to this comment
- There isn''''t enough oil in Anwar to do jack for $4.50/gallon oil. It''''s more propaganda from the oil companies. Destroying Anwar for Big Oil''''s profit$ won''''t help us. What we need more alternative, sustainable energy sources. I''''m amazed and saddend that the Founding Fathers threw off the tyranny of monarchy, only to have us succumb to oil-igarchy.

I heard it on the Vanity radio program today, Sean said that if the Democrats had let the Republicans drill for oil in ANWAR starting in 1995 that the US would be getting approximately 1 million barrels of oil a day from ANWAR.
Estimates of US oil consummation per day average out to about 21 million barrels.
So if the added one million barrels per day from Anwar, how much do you think that would reduce the price of gas per gallon? I say maybe 2 cents.
But the right wing bogglers are running all over the Internet spreading more Republican lies, their talking point is the same theme the Democrats won%u2019t let the US drill in Anwar and that%u2019s the reason the US is dependent on foreign oil.
GOP propaganda is straight from the pits of hell. - Reply to this comment

QUESTION : Why are oil prices so high ?
ANSWER : I don''t know. We don''t set, the price of our oil.
A committee in Texas, tells us the price, we will charge for our oil
If we don''t charge the price we are told to
The big guys, will put us out of business
QUESTION : Then what is the real cost, of getting oil, out of the ground
ANSWER : The cost is next to nothing. Think of ocean oil riggs
Plenty of pressure - plenty of water - plenty of natural gas.
Free for the taking - The cost is next to nothing
QUESTION : Is there really an oil shortage?
ANSWER : There is no oil shortage or crises.
They got more oil, than they know what do with
The only oil shortage occurs - is - when they turn off the valves
As far as I''m concerned : There never has been a oil shortage.
There never will be an oil shortage.

- fenner,,, get down on your own GOP legislators, they stopped the legislation for taxing big oil profit & prior to that they stopped legislation which would have given tax breaks to the oil companies for developing alternate fuels.
