Oklahoma Cops Still Have No Motive In Fatal Shooting Of Best Friends, Ages 11 And 13

Computer went hay wire.
I have to disagree with you about the girls should have had a gun. At that age they are too young to be responsible for making a decision to take a life. The psychological effect alone at that age would be traumatic. I taught my kids firearm safety, living off the land and self defense . I never taught them how to kill until they were mature enough to make that decision. I taught my daughter hand to hand defense before she shipped to Iraq, also how to use a knife in defense. Luckily she was not involved in hand to hand but was involved in firefights in Iraq. - Reply to this comment

With th right to carry also comes responsibility. The law says you can use for self defense. if the perp is running away you cannot shoot them. Even the police cannot shoot a criminal for running away. - Reply to this comment

Good comment. I happen to be a weaposn expert and a martial artist. Never let a suspect get close enough to make contact. While in themilitary anoher marial artist and myself came up with the technique to put a suspect on his knees, legs crossed, hands clasped on top of head to frisk and cuff a suspect. Military refused our idea, now it is used all over the country. - Reply to this comment
- I do not think it was drunks. It seems to have been to well executed. Also the police may have more evidence than they are talking abou as they build a case. Hopefully the murderers are caught and no legal errors are commited in their trials allowing them to get off on a technicality.

As much as i dislike bush and hope he is prosecuted for war crimes, uyour right. It is utterly stupid to blame him for everything that happens. Afterall it has to be a 24 houraday job to screw up as much as he is already. - Reply to this comment

I agree with your feeligs, but if we go back to vigilante justice then we are getting to the point we are like them. We have to obey the laws and trust the judicial system, even tho it doesn''t always work. - Reply to this comment

That is why i choose to carry, but i obey all laws. In Las Vegas if you move there you are required to bring all handguns to police station for registration and they do a balistics test at the time. I fully support this law and any laws that will help deter crime. Banning people from having weapons doesn''t work. The criminals will disregard any laws. I have used my weapon more than once for protection. - Reply to this comment
- What has politics got to do with it. Come on, this is evil at it''s worst. Gun control can never be effected at this point, because there are millions of guns out there and it would be impossible. Someone was up to something and they were prepared with guns loaded. They would not have heard the gunshots, I''ll bet anything there was some kind of a silencer and maybe that is the evidence the police have, they could have done something to muffle the sound of the guns. They probably knew the girls had to be close to their home. I think this will be solved in a very short time.

- The headline says there are suspects, but the article says there are no suspects.
I guess the headline writer is confusing suspect with perpetrator. - Reply to this comment
- '' "Family said they didn''''t have an enemy in the world."
Apparently they DID...''
Because they were killed, doesn''t mean the killer(s) were enemies. A few years ago, while travelling in Europe, I met a group of American''s and hung out with them while on an overnight train ride. One girl had a black eye and when I asked about it, she said she was drunk in the woods shooting guns and one kicked up and hit her in the eye. Talk about eye-opening! Shooting guns while drinking? - Reply to this comment
