- "and yet people of other faiths do the same."
Do you blame them? After all, they believe that their religion is the "right" one too. It''s either both must be taken into consideration, or both have to be disregarded. - Reply to this comment
- If it were common sense, there would be no other religions in the world. You cannot invalidate someone else''''s faith or religion simply because you believe that yours is the "right" one.

P.S., Native Americans don''t worship animals, and most believe in a singular deity. - Reply to this comment

- In the Lakota belief you go to the happy hunting ground.. so your point is what?
Posted by cornbiker
I see I must simplify. so what is the happy hunting ground? the point is that it should really be common sense which one is the true religion. A religion that does teach hate, a religion that does not worship statues or inanimate objects, a religion that does not have multiple Gods, a religion that make animals sacred and worship when God has put us above such creatures. some other religions may refer to another place and i guess that other place is heaven supposedly, but do they tell how you are suppose to get there or do they think everyone goes. do they tell you who to believe in. - Reply to this comment
- I see it now......you, Floyd have a deep hatred for the Word of God, or the bible....it represents "religion" to you and therefore, you have asigned God to some far away place in oblivion....unknowable, untouchable. Jesus proves you wrong.
God is touchable and knowable through Jesus Christ. He even told Thomas, "Have I been with you so long, that you have not known me?"...when Thomas asked Him to show them the Father.
The Holy Spirit reveals the Father to us through His word, which you have discarded and without His word, you cannot know Him.
You should analyze your logic Floyd.....it is flawed!

You talk about analysis and logic with Floyd? What you just wrote was the biggest load of horse hockey I''ve ever seen - about as far from analysis and logic as you can get. Those blinders you have on must be as big as your massive ego. - Reply to this comment
- So if there were other religions before Christianity then how does one know what is the true religion?

what other religion offers you salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ. - Reply to this comment
- "I never said all that. My statement was a simple one. Don''''t complicate it."
I never said you did. I was working off my perception of "morality" and "religion" in general. It may not be a widely accepted perception, but it''s what I see and feel and believe. - Reply to this comment
- "Easy. You will very rarely see discussions of same-*** marriage without morality getting involved. Because of the disagreement, the two will always be connected."
Ah yes. The old argument that one person''''s morals are superior to another''''s and that we should all fall in line.

That''s right! Because it has everything to do with right and wrong, holy and unholy. - Reply to this comment
- How on earth did religion get into an article about how gay marriage can boost local/national economy?

- If you choose to believe in God, the better course is to study Science. That is where the real mystery and wonder of God may be found.

- I never intimated that God ever needed my permission for anything.
You are simply falling for the same trick that Satan tried on Eve, when he said, "did God really say....?"
Satan''''s desire is to create doubt about what God said in order to steal the faith out of the heart, which he has succeeded with many.

and it''s funny that even Satan will decieve many when he returns to earth by claiming he''s Jesus. and these knuckleheads won''t know the difference. - Reply to this comment
