- then i guess you really are offended at the word of God according to the scriptures if you feel this way.
-- You are free to believe whatever you wish.
the scriptures are not our words it''''s God''''s word. every time we quote a scripture from God''''s word you seem to imply that that is something we said.
-- You are quoting me a passage from a book. The book is not God. We will just have to agree to disagree again.
you don''''t believe in the word of God you just believe in a God. then you have general beliefs about that, but refuse to believe every word in the bible.
-- Pretty much, yeah. Written word shall always be corrupted.
You don''''t even believe in sin even though God is against it.
-- Your idea of God is against sin. My idea of God says that sin is a construct made to perpetuate the shame that Man feels he must carry, when he can lay it down a little bit of effort. - Reply to this comment
- Agreed. And because we are free to believe in whatever we want, you have utilized your free will and choice to reject Christ and His perfect plan of salvation, something "Religion" can never offer you.
-- We agree here. Hence why I follow my own path in honoring Christ''s teachings.
Religion can''''t give you eternal life, but Christ however can.
-- I do not long for eternal life. I simply wish to enjoy this one with all the opportunities it can offer.
Why you turn this down is baffling to me, but it''''s your choice. I get the feeling it''''s because you don''''t want Christ to be the authority in your life. His truth sets you free, from religion, from doubt, and from this world which is currently under the control of satan.
-- My idea of God is different than your own. My idea of God decrees that I search out the truth for myself, rather than fall lockstep behind others and what they think Truth should mean to me. Trust me here: I have no doubt about what I converse with God about, or what God wants from me. The Divine is the authority in my life, so maybe that''s not so different. - Reply to this comment
- This is something "Religion" can never offer.

- I do acknowledge it, but it is not my truth. That is your truth, and you are entitled to it.
However, I am offended when people make God out to be no better more than a spoiled child.

- You''''re the one who''''s making up your own truth as you go along in life, not me.
-- Possibly. But that''s no different than anyone else.
I give all the glory to the Lord Jesus Christ, the one true Lord of Lords and King of Kings. He deserves all the glory, not me, or anyone else.
-- Very happy for you. - Reply to this comment

- Offended by Scripture? Nonsense. I think Scripture is a beautiful collection of poetry.
However, I am offended when people make God out to be no better more than a spoiled child. - Reply to this comment
- "So you''''re offended by the Scriptures. This is common among non-believers. The Scriptures are meant so that you can know the Truth, but you''''re offended that God has laid out the game plan for you in advance.
So in an essence, you''''re against God, and believe that human beings have the final answers, and not God.
That''''s all it''''s about with you."
That''s a pretty big leap there. Regardless, you are free to believe whatever you wish - just as I am. - Reply to this comment
- People make their own choice to be blinded. The "god of this age" as the book of Corinthians points out is not God, it is satan.
Satan blinds people from the Truth about Christ because of their own choice and rejection of Christ.

and this is why God get blamed for things that Satan does. they don''t know that Satan is the ruler here not God. God intervenes and has also given us the tool to handle the ruler of this earth. so many will be fooled when the anti-Christ possessed by Satan make himself known, but claiming to be the true Messiah. - Reply to this comment
