not a personal dig to anyone.... but it seems there are a lot of belivers that the state is smarter and better and has more ethics than the individual...

has no-one ever had to deal with a state, city, or god help... federal employee that has way too big an ego, is lazy, has been given a smidgen of authority that is totally abused, and has essentially no accountability. with cps its times 2. cps is notorious for ineptness and totally *** up families for no good reason. there is a reason people work for the government paycheck... they are lazy and cant get jobs in the private world cause they cant hack it. putting them on pedestals is not helpful. they are just people too, people that collect a government paycheck cause they cant work like the rest of us, only a step up from being on welfare.

In the name of religion give the children back to there pedophile familes...As long as you do it in the name of god it is ok to rape kids and allow stupid women to watch and help..See the laws only apply to certain people in the US. So rape your kids,incest is more than ok ,throw your boys out on the street to live , marry as many women as you want but do it in a church and in the name of religion and it will all be ok.....

Also, I am quite certain Texas CPS would rather have not taken the measures they did. That number of children removed is outrageous and a CPS nightmare. CPS is already understaffed and underpaid. They likely put their own lives, and obligations to their own families, on hold in order to do the best job they could under the circumstances.

To follow up....just because any physical abuse (or any other allegation) was not part of the original phone call doesn''t mean CPS can ignore that information. There is likely much more information of concern that CPS hasn''t had the ability to gather.
If the children are to return home, CPS needs to obtain the needed DNA testing, in order to accurately reunify the children to their correct mother''s/ father''s. Otherwise, it is like having your own child being released to a stranger, based on the fact that the mother''s have not been open and honest with CPS about names, ages, etc. This deceitful behavior is considered high risk for further abuse to these children. The families appear to be a high flight risk and CPS would have no way to monitor the case. They are currently facing a difficult task in monitoring these children''s welfare, as their community is closed and doesn''t allow "outsiders", to whom they refer to as being evil and bad influences. CPS''s job is for the protection of children. If removal is needed, that is their role. Then efforts are put in place to work with the parents and children towards reunification. Nothing is going to change if these children return now.

I personally am distraught about these children returning home. My opinion is not based on their religion or faith, but of the parent%u2019s lack of judgment as to how to protect their children and/ or ability to exhibit discipline or structure in a way that is not demeaning to these children. As a CPS worker in another state, I commend Texas CPS for taking the action they did. Some may feel taking all the children was extreme, but when you have a community where the children are raised by the community; it is difficult for a child to be removed from one home especially when you have an "unknown maltreater". They took the action they did as it would be difficult to conduct an investigation of such a large magnitude, in a timely fashion, therefore leaving vulnerable children exposed to further abuse. If we had an allegation of a similar nature and 10 children were in the home, there could be a possibility that all the children could be removed based on risk and need to gather more information. Despite the phone call that initiated CPS involvement was not accurate, CPS has the obligation to look into allegations of abuse/ neglect that a "reasonable person" would find credible. CPS started their investigation and not only did they find underage girls married and pregnant (even though that number has significantly been lowered), but more information of physical abuse allegations and the mother''s unable or unwilling to protect their children.

bozworth4, you are not dumb, what you said was very eloquent and so true. As we know that pedophiles will continue to offend, surely one of the punishments could be that they have lost the right to marry anyone who has children/grandchildren, somehow we have to protect these little mites.. .

fenner, I have been told that yes many judges are pedophiles or have been compromised, one high up policeman had to get out or be killed while trying to expose these things...
