Texas Supreme Court Upholds Lower Court Ruling, Says Welfare Officials Overstepped Their Authority
- Apparently Tx. is it''s own gov''t. One would think that there were enough undocumented people there already. Now they want us to believe these people were totally illiterate disgusting and backward. They aren''t. I don''t believe any of the lies anymore and will not feel comfortable until they stop persecuting these people. My god, Nancy Grace has even had a chance to pound her desk and sneer on this one.

- never said that people who work for public agencies get paid high salaries. but certainly comfortable enough... and you know the bennies and vacation and lack of accountability cant be beat yes?
i stand by what i say. believe me, lots will back me up...
guess what, we cant all be helped and we shouldnt be. sometimes people are born into loser situations and that is life. they survive or they dont. theres plenty of laws out there. if a crime is commited, police can file charges.
right now with the economy in the cr@pper, some agencies i deal with are actually having (forbid) cutbacks!! all of a sudden people in the public sector are totally helpfull and have lost thier egos and can answer thier phones!! go figure...
btw- please explain and sugarcoat this texas fiasco. also please do society a favor and leave private citizens alone and get a real job. - Reply to this comment
- Outrageous isn''t it. No matter what view you take. Texas is a legal mess.

- This is but one case of a government rogue agency overstepping the "legal" boundaries. That''s the key word folks...legal. The people that agree with this agency because of the FDLS way of life empower and embolden any government agency to run wild without checks or balances. That''s the important fact of the matter. Look how the right wing nuts totally fell for the Patriot''s Act, for spying on US citizens, and the rest of the garbage heaped on them from the Bush regime. Folks, wake up. We control the government, not the government controlling us. We''ve allowed it to go on for so long, and they know it''s as easy as making it go from orange to red with a color code to keep you in line. Shameful.

- to Merlgrey.... I resent the fact that us "government" workers are lazy and whatever other jargon you used... just because you work for the government doesn''t mean it''s a high paying job... if I wanted to make more money, I certainly wouldn''t be working in CPS! And no, we don''t take pleasure of removing children from the parents... that is the last thing we want to do, but "we" have policies, procedures and protocols that need to be followed. When we seem, to what you call abuse power, it is our obligation to confront families regarding concerns and need change and implement standards our job is to uphold... do you think we enjoy knocking on people''s doors following abuse allegations? There are certainly times where CPS put their lives at risk.

- ******* Texas cops jumped the gun like wannabe Texas Rangers and botched it up. Off of a phone call they couldnt confirm was real from some idiot in Colorado. They knew they didnt have enough but took a shot in the dark and lost. There is no doubt these kids are in danger of these religious psychos, but they still have cellphones and lawyers. Unfortunately these kids arent allowed to use a phone to call police if abused. I say WACO their ***** as their nutcase leaders have suggested police do.

- Texas CPS kidnapped and abused those children. If you ask them why they did it, they''ll tell you, with a straight face and zero sense of irony, that it was to save the children from being abused.
