Bush is a liar, and those who support him profit from the war. While the commoners or mostly poor fight this war (middle class one paycheck away from being homeless are poor too) Soldiers, committing suicide because they discover they really aren''t shown appreciation at all. !@ck a BS parade. What about equal pay and benefits for all Veterans. If you haven''t served you can''t comment. Semper Fidelis

Bush and McCain are against the proposed new G.I. Bill, fearing that enlisted personnel might actually take advantage of it and quit the Armed Forces.

But hey, Bush said he quit golf to show support for the troops. If that''s not a generous gesture of sacrifice, I don''t know what is.

I wont say I''m proud to protect and defend *** like fck-the-trps. I would personally like to meet this person. However, he or she hides behind a blog. Obviously never served and probably came from a well to do family who looks down on "commoners" like the military. Or he/she could be some looser who hates the world and this is their way of elevating themselves above everyone else. Save the world and stop global warming kind of thing. Or maybe he/she got their butts kicked in school so this is pay back in some wierd sort of way. While some great Americans place themselves in harms way for our country, jerks like fck-the-trps sit back and criticize. I suggest fck-the-trps denounce their citizinship and move to a country who embraces his/her point of view.

It''''s not his war. It''''s our war.

Technically, you''''re right. The Bush administration started the war, young Americans are fighting and dying in the war, and no bid military contractors are profiting from the war. So just about everyone is involved.

Since the vast majority of those serving in the war seem to be sane, one wonders if these few (percentage-wise) nut cases were all there when they enlisted.

As a participant in America''s last misguided boondoggle, I can tell you that many warriors feel prostituted when called upon to fight senseless wars.

Many suffer disillusion and even depression, often ending in suicide.

A warrior needs to have honor in his fight. If there is none, he feels dishonored, and understandably so.

If they''''re going to kill themselves anyway, couldn''''t they strap some explosives to their chests and do it in a crowd of Muslims?

I truly pity those around you...if there is anyone around you, that is....

did he start a war for oil? let''s see. Iraq is the second largest producer of oil and his army was weak from 2 previous wars and could barely put up a fight unless the opponent were women children and unarmed men..

did he invade iraq to free the iraqui people from a dictator? let''s see, there are hundred of nations with dictators or violators of human rights, amongst them our allies , uzbekistan, narColombia, and there are worst humanitarian crisis such as Darfur, Myanmar, China, etc...

Who benefited from his war? the american people?

let''s see":
Arms Dealers and industry
Kellog (KBR)
Haliburton
The oil industry
Al Quaeda (there numbers are soaring thanks to the war)
the rich Republicans
Toby Keith
Brittney Spears
etc...
