Why are we spending 3 trillion dollars and sacrificing thousands of lives in Iraq when we haven''t even secured our borders and ports?

Perhaps if the FBI and Dept of Homeland Security spent more time on security issues instead of wire tapping escort services and raiding massage parlors looking for prostitutes, they could handle security issues with the the over-grown budget they already have. This is all about getting more money to get more govt bureacracy.

Nation building, charity, and security must begin at home!

Take care of our

US borders

US troops

US veterans

US public safety

US national infrastructure

US affordable health care

US homeless fix

US economy

US environment

Take care of our US everything problems first, from here then work our way outward into the money devouring far away global honey trap.

Any remaining US citizen tax dollars collecting interest after this type of true homeland security we should gladly contribute to a modest US foreign aid and overseas effort.

If no spare coinage is in the bank to give out for no or low cost freebies, then sorry we had to tighten our fiscal belt and no more soak away handouts this century.

Rightsizing is the American way.

Same gaps from 7 years ago. So what''s new in this report other than we still have a probem after billions wasted?

Hey cornbiker I see you are in space or some alternate dimension as usual. gopsoccermom sounds like your type, maybe you should chat her up!

If we never started your hero''s illegal war and instead spent maybe a third of that money actually taking care of the Homeland as we should be, we sure as h&ll wouldn''t have every domestic agency totally gutted. So Obama''s on the committee, big whoop. The adminstration runs DHS and lies every step of the way about everything that actually matters to true Americans.

Congress doesn''t administrate, they legislate and try to oversee. But since Bushit and his mob of thieves make up the rules as they go (as in the Constitution is just a guideline) and lie with every breath they take, the only real solution here is to make sure we avoid McSame and elect a filibuster-proof Democratic majority in all of Congress.

Then in January they can begin the monumental task of cleaning up the worst mess that any administration has made in America''s history.

This is all caused by the liberal congress taqking money away from security and giving it to black studies.

That''s pretty old news. Besides, anything that DHS has something to do with is bound to be flawed. Look at their "leadership".

ARE WE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME PORT SECURITY THAT BUSHIT AND HIS REPIGS WERE TRYING TO SELL OFF TO THE ARABS?

AMERICA STAND UP OR SHUT UP!

This isn''t breaking news - this is old hat to those of us in the real world.

But at least it''s not as bad as it could be, if bush''s plans to give ALL CONTROL of the ports to terrorist based countries would have went through.

Of course there are troubling gaps. Walmart told Bush that keeping America safe was stopping them from sending money to China and getting wealthier. America is about the "let them eat cake" crowd, remember?

If this doesn''t prove that Bush''s claim about Iraq being justified on a national security basis is pure hoopla, what could?

He wastes 3 billion a week in Iraq while our ports are standing wide open...

Sheesh.

Companies can get certified for reduced Customs inspections before they fully implement any additional security improvements requested by the U.S. government. Under the program, Customs also does not require its employees to systematically follow up to make sure the requested improvements were made and that security practices remained consistent with the minimum

This is pathedic, the United States security is in the hands of importers.......

With Bush everything including port security is just like "support our troops", window dressing, nothing more.. in reality if it''s not making $$ money for him or his GOP insider cronies he doesn''t care.
