According to the bush and cheney ideolgy, anyone who voted against bush is a potential enemy combatant. Which I''m proud to say there are many. bush is a morally corrupt embecile. I will celebrate the day he is no longer President. He is the worst thing to happen to America in my life time. Good riddence!!!

By whom? When? Even if proceedings started this afternoon, the Reps will delay, delay until it''s no longer worth while even going through the motions. What troubles me more is the certainty that the next president will just start where Bush left off. Can you imagine what the Constitution or respect for it will look like 8 more years down the road? Makes you want to weep.

You really have to pity moron f*cks like beehive. They can''t grasp the difference between a President with King-like powers and the principles of liberty and Constitution on which this country is built. They also cleary are illiterate, or do not bother to read that the guy was already arrested and was being dealt with. Beehive and the other apologists for dictators who would destroy America from inside just do not get it. They are clearly the real danger. Maybe the next President SHOULD continue to exercise Bush''s king-like powers and take Beehive and his traitorous friends out and shoot them. Sounds like a plan to me. let''s see him crawl and whine when his liberty no longer exists and his last sight is the barrel of a gun.

Really- if beehive hates what this country stands for so much, let him find a country more to his liking. Cuba sounds about right. f''em.

If you look like this guy, stay away from "sleeper agent living in middle America, researching poisonous gasses and plotting a cyberattack." If Bush didn''t get him who might. Stop it about Constitutional Rights ,we didn''t hear you when the Texans began walking all over the FLDS rights ?

a very young nation was once warned of fear witin a democracy by Benjarmin Franklin "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." and a second warning was echoed by Lincoln " America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." Guess the Republicans would respond to these quotes by calling them "un-patriotic".

This is 2008, this is America, and this is a Muslim - by definition, guilty. Why complicate matters with Constiution and courts and lawyers and trials and evidence? Someone on an overnight radio talk show suggested we kill them all and let God sort them out. Thank you very much Mr. Bush, daily you make us prouder and prouder of what you have made of our country.

I revisit this article because it set off a fire in my belly. I offer you the Fourth Amendment; some one else the 5th, 6th and 8th.
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

But you must remember that the Little Drunk believes the Constitution to be: "Just a G*da*n piece of Paper"!!!.....The fact he isn''t polishing a bench in a Federal Prison Cell, awaiting execution for Treason, is proof positive we now live in a Dictatorship.

19 hijackers, using box cutters, have effectively destroyed the United States.

This administration and their supporters/apologists are the biggest surrender%u2019s/defeatists in American history.

By giving up and/or destroying our constitutional rights in the name of national security, they have surrendered the one thing worth fighting and dying for, FREEDOM..

Isn''t that crazy? You can say motherfu*ker, co*ksucker, a*shole, and douch*bag, but you cannot say the proper name Di*k. What a puritanical outfit we have being run here in the U.S.
Incidentally, in the Book of Bush anyone can be an enemy combatant at any given time. Our "leaders" can use their own discretion, or lack of it.

#4 the only reason gerge has not been impeached yet is because the congress does not have enough majority votes to do so. the republicans will not allow it, justified or not.

#5 lets face it, bill clinton was only impeached because at that time the republican had enough of a majority to do so. the democrats at this point do not.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
liberalameri, Re. #4.
Many people have this misconception about why Bush has not been impeached.
Democrats have a substantial majority in the House of Representatives.
The House of Representatives has sole power of passing "articles of impeachment" with a simple majority vote.
The senate then tries the case and must convict by a two-thirds majority vote.
It is true that democrats do not have a sufficient majority to convict without some republican votes, however an impeachment trial would make many areas open to investigation that are not available other wise the president could not rely on executive privilege in an impeachment trial) and no one knows what evidence would be uncovered.
Democrats alone, specifically by Majority leader, Pelosi, who refuses to even allow consideration of it, have from the start of this congress, blocked impeachment.
#5
The republican majority at that time was similar to the democratic majority today.
The Republicans brand of patriotism is really nationalism. That is what Hitler used to keep the masses in line. People there is a difference between the two the first means you take pride in your way of the life, the second means if anyone dares to say anything other than what you deem to be correct get rid of them.
Of course the storm has been building for 3 years now and the GOP morons refused to listen to the voice of America well they will be listening in November when they are swept away with the tide.
