Oh you god fearing christians, ye of much hypocritical holier than thou low brow intelligence, are ye truly children of YOUR god? Why not put THIS in YOUR god''s hands and let him sort it out? You are all just a bunch of armchair evangelists that needs a good colon cleansing. NOTHING was found there, get it? No SIGNS of child porn, child abuse, pedophillia or otherwise. 400 children and nothing was found, just another kick in the ole texass c*r*o*t*c*h, stinging the family jewels. Just like the McMartin trial. I know someone who is working as a state employee on this and they said it was all wrong from the get go and that people in charge were literally making stuff up as they went along. IN THE LONESOME STAR STATE OF TEXASS???? CAN''T BE????? HEARSAY ACCEPTED AS FACT??? CAN''T BE??? COACHING CHILDREN AND PROMISING REWARDS FOR LYING??? CAN''T BE??? TWISTING WORDS AND STATEMENTS AROUND TO SUIT THEMSELVES??? CAN''T BE??? I hope these people sue the state of texass back to the last 8 years to the Stone Age they come from.

It''s a religious cult that worships pedophiles.

Last time I checked, pedophilia is illegal in all 50 states.

Of course the kids should have been taken out of that environment.

If you were into anthropology at all you would know that there was a aboriginal race that occupied the North American continent up until around 12,000 years ago then millions of them were ALL slaughtered by the ancestors of today''''s Indians.

There was also a species of small horse that was hunted to extinction by those same ancestors.

As a student of anthropology, let me say you don''t know what you are talking about.

"Better safe than sorry." Posted by hahnews

We used to believe in "Innocent until proven guilty" but Fascist Amerika has changed all that.

Maybe hahnews will understand better when they kick the door in at midnight...oh, wait, hahnews will be the one kicking the door in and dragging us off to the gulag.

Liberty is dying a grim death in Amerika, but the people have chosen their chains and deserve them.

I don''t blame them for jumping the gun. They thought that children were being sexually abused with a hint of cult atmosphere.
I think the saying that fits this situation is,
"Better safe than sorry."

Plus, the whole situation still has that odd smell about it.

Reading some of the comments is a real eye opener. May of the comments are nothing more than an attempt to spread more unsubstantiated rumors about this group. This leads me to wonder how many posters are affiliated with Texas Social Services, their "contractors" and the members of the court that hope to continue this campaign. It is difficult to think that so much wrong information can be coming from people that can read and write.
For those that actually think this had this had any valid legal or moral purpose you should read a little more carefully. I would not be suprised if the next move is to "discover" evidence and testimony stemming from drugged or intimidated children so they can start the next phase of this sham.
To look at this another way, I have seen no evidence that Texas can protect children and the raid suggests they can not.

Finally, a story about "jumping-the-gun" justice. Taking these kids away from their environment, just because of nasty innuendos could be as traumatic as living in an odd sect. Why don''t authorities raid public schools? After all, nothing could be as traumatic as the violence, mayhem, assault and debauchery that children live with every day, attending them.

What about the welfare of the children in Iraq, Afghanastan, Veitnam, Korea, Guatamala, the Native Americans you stole the land from.... Oh, that''''s right, canaanite and saxon american idol worshippers don''''t function on logic, just selfish pleasures.

The children need to be protected - that should be the main focus. The parents need to be taught what is right and not to allow their daughters to be "married" at such a young age. The parents need to see something outside of that cult and be able to see what they did and how what they are doing is affecting their children. It seems that this is a way of allowing perverts to have free access to little kids. CPS needs to protect these kids and the appeals court needs to understand that these kids need someone on their side.

RowdyWicca: Furthermore, did you realize that most christian religions have problems with elders and sexual abuse? Not just the catholics. Should we shut all churches down and remove all children from mothers who take them to church??

RowdyWicca: They only suspect 5 out of the 486 to be underage, and that 4 of those are questionable. If Texas raids their local trailer park, they will find more teenage pregnancies that that with less people. What is your point???

These old pervted PROPHETS (snort) kicked the young boys out of there on trumped up obedience violations and put them on the streets with the life skills of a six year old so they wouldn''''t have any competition for the next avaialable virgin!

This is idiocy!

So it''s just OK with you people that they can rob a young male child from his own home...and that should just be OK in the eyes of the law???

Wake up!

These mothers should be reunited with their children as soon as possible.

The government had no right to displace these people.
If, in fact, there are specific charges to be filed, file them against the wrongdoers and let the others return to their lives with their children.

First they have to protect the children from possible abuse. Then they have to make sure there is no abuse before returning those children to their home! And CPS has every right to do so, as they should.

But ALL of these people need to be educated as to their RIGHTS under the law, and to the fact that their religion is NOT above the law of the land.

It is ILLEGAL to engage girls under 17 in a ''spiritual'' marriage without a legal marriage license! NONE of these women young and old have a legal marriage license. Who the hell knows how young they were when they were forced into obeyance by these perverted old busywards!

Religious rights be damned! This is pure pervision and violations of human rights!

These old pervted PROPHETS (snort) kicked the young boys out of there on trumped up obedience violations and put them on the streets with the life skills of a six year old so they wouldn''t have any competition for the next avaialable virgin!

(1) The state didn''t make a good enough "states'' interest" argument.

(2) You''d think the Appeals Court would''ve erred on the side of caution.

Legal doctrines in the United States derive from "propertied" rights, as well as human rights. After personal freedom, we all know the property takes precidence over all other things in American culture.

Polygomy is too fluid and confusing to protect those involed. Divorce is finall and dealt with one at a time. The biggest confusing aspect to the case is identifying parentage. Western legal culture doesn''t make room for these dynamics. A final decision reqires the least amount of ambiguity and families structured as such screams confusion.
