This cop was convicted of lying to investigators. 4 1/2 years seems like an appropriate sentense to me. Those who planted the drugs and pulled the trigger should get much longer sentences. What about the judge who issued the warrant? I don''t see anything in this story about him or her. No knock warrants need to be declared unconstitutional. If I heard someone busting down my door I would shoot too. You won''t know if it is the police or a bad guy until it is too late.

Corruption at its best. Poor black folks, with no money for a good attorney, would have been sentenced to death. But the privee cops and its crooked justice system gives a slap on the hand. Since they were white cops, they got the circus package deal - 8 months and your out of jail. A black cop would have gotten aleast 10 to 12 years.

There is no such thing as a good cop (the honest ones keep their mouth-shut which makes them as guilty as the bad cops). Law enforcement is disgrace to any justice system. Its an organization that only serves its own - so much corruption.

When your home is invaded, Shoot first and ask questions later. Anyone can buy a swat outfit from a catalog or online. No jury will convict you of not hearing the words "search warrant" with all that shooting going on. Cops need to knock unless the want a shootout. These guys even shot themselves!
