My brother''s friend got brain cancer and he died. I don''t know if people realize how low the odds of survival are for brain cancer because the media''s trying to keep everything positive, but it''s not good.

He might not have much longer to live . . . I think my brother''s friend only had like a year and a half after he got diagnosed (?)

I pray to God for your comfort, and correct treatment, so that you have the best quaility of life. I have always been a big fan of you and your family. But I was surprised you backed Obama.
JFK and especially Jackie would have been for Hillary all the way. Hillary even met Jackie when Bill was running for office. I don''t know your reasons, perhaps you had a run in with her on the Senate floor. But you must admit she has done much for our country, our children, for the poor, for our health, and worldwide, etc. But putting that aside, I wish you the best, and I shall pray for you and your family during this difficult time.

There are a lot of juvenile folks amusing themselves with Senator Kennedy''s illness. I just hope none of these people would have a family member, loved one, or even themselves have to deal with cancer. I have lived long enough to know that things have a way of coming back on some folks...call it karma or call it God''s judgement. But I know this....cancer is not a joke. And when you get your diagnosis of cancer, would you want someone talking about how you deserve this or that because of your past actions? Cancer happens to all people, good and bad. Think about it...laugh all you want....you won''t get the last laugh, death will and maybe other people who hate you too.

Yeah, a real laugh riot!!!

Do you think burning puppies alive is a great source of entertainment too? Do you describe yourself as a ''compassionate conservative''? Are you 10 years old? Pathetic...

So, yeah, he was in - did he have to serve - no.

Fair enough, but just to play the other side of the coin, couldn''t you say the same about Bush''s service? You don''t think his dad might have had some influence there either?

Fact is, anyone (R or D) who has an influential connection won''t have to do the same as people like you or me who don''t have those connections. Agreed?

ofbyfor1 - and my point is that Teddy never served either.

Most people that enlist don''t have their paper reduced from four years to two, because daddy says so.

And most people don''t get assigned to Europe because daddy says so.

So, yeah, he was in - did he have to serve - no.

It''s sad...buy how many of us could walk away from a car accident that we caused, with someone trapped.. dead or dying inside the car.

Thad is what Mr. Kennedy did. After he unsuccessfully attempted to have his brother in law say that he was the driver...Ted only reported the accident something like 10 hours later, and only after the car had been found by someone else.

Mr. Bush is guilty of many things. Personal manslaughter just isn''t one of them.

The question is did Ted ever feel any real remorse for his own actions? My guess is no. Many Jo was just a campaign worker...and a female one at that.

That doesn''t change wishing him and his family well at this moment.

And your point is?............ When did Bush reeeeeally serve; was he even SENT overseas? When did you serve? And, before you ask%u2014no, I didn''t, I''m a 48 y.o. woman, probably would have been 4F due to health issues.

My point in response to the post was that he was mistaken in saying that Ted NEVER served. Got it?

It''s who they are. They can''t help it. We also don''t know how harsh they were abused by their parents. So many reasons why they lack the most innate quality of a human being.

A lot of us on the left may despise the policies and actions of this administration, and we may be very vocal about it, but I don''t see too many examples of people literally wishing DEATH upon them. Not saying that there aren''t any, but NOT like what I''ve seen here today. So much for ''compassionate conservatism''.

ofbyfor1 - yeah right, after his daddy got him a cushy job in Europe instead of Korea, and after his daddy got him a two year reduction in his enlistment, which he took as he was expelled for cheating.

RickNuber, you have it exactly right. All you SICK and HATE-FILLED people who are rejoicing and laughing over a person who has a life-threatening illness make ME sick. I sincerely hope, that when the day comes that you face your own mortality, you look back and remember the horrible things you posted here and feel maybe a tiny bit of shame. And then, I hope that God doesn''t judge you as harshly as YOU are all judging Mr. Kennedy. Yes, what happened to Miss Kopechne was horrible, and perhaps Mr. Kennedy should have been punished, but that is neither here nor there. The fact is that he will die (and probably in the not too distant future) and will then face that same God and will receive what is coming to him then, for eternity. How you all can set yourselves up in place of God is truly beyond me.
I, meanwhile, will pray for Mr. Kennedy and his family, and also that you wil find some compassion somewhere in your tiny little hearts, someday.

May he die 24 hours before election day this year, never living to see who becomes the next President. Now, THAT would rock.

RickNuber , Better to send out my intelligent and well-worded post a hundred times than to read one of your infantile doodles even once. I get more out of my 3-yo daughter''s hand paintings than I do your lame attempts to appear literate.
