The murder of Bell needs to be taken within the context of institutional departmental problems nation wide...unjustified homicide and brutalization of American citizens by the, in many cases, federally trained police departments.

As usual, with these Establishment shills, they want more concentration of power AWAY from the people... in this case with the federal government. The Black Panther Party upheld the right of ALL citizens to control the police in their neighborhoods--if you don''t control the police the police will control you--and if you don''t control the police...you are not free.

The governor and attorney general of New York seem to have laid real low during this crisis...I imagine they will treat it as they treated 9-11...just a time to stay out of the way...to ''ell with the laws of the State of New York

Please understand one thing about Sharpton, no matter how many people say otherwise, HE DOES NOT SPEAK FOR THE BLACK COMMUNITY!!! You would not believe how many black minister, black politicians, working-class African Americans repudiate what Al stands for, such as an obsession of Blacks always being victims. people like sharpton has taken MLK''''s dream and twisted in a sick way to make the black community suffer for his own popularity and financial gain. the ignorant thing is that doors are open, education is there, oportunity is knowcking, and people like sharpton fuel the fire of hatred in the minds of my black community.

my direct grandfather joined the revolutionary war to gain his freedom. my black forefathers fought for freedom, and they fought in vein.

and yes, i have done a lot to try to change how people view the black community and i have done quite well. i have an education, i teach my children not to be a slave to the government or to drugs. i stress education and staying clean with the law, morally, drugs, alcohol, you name it.
