Cpaide, good work, you''re right on the money there. Yeah, anti-DP nuts want everyone to believe that we''re executing innocents left and right. Sorry, but this simply is not true, and there is no real evidence to show this whatsoever.

Lord. It doesn''t even sound like this should have been a death penalty case. Sounds more like a 2nd degree murder. I just think the justice system in the south is flawed. The death penalty should be reserved for the most heinous crimes, not a heated lovers quarral.

"In response to Jackie0428''s post, he may be interested to hear that between 1973 and 2002, there were 106 death row inmates exonerated out of a death row population of 3,697 (Ref: DeathPenaltyInfo.org). This equates to 2.87% of death penalty sentences, which is considerably higher than the 6 or 7 out of the "tens of thousands" quoted in his post."

thanks for the misleading info. what you and deathpenalthinfo.org fail to emphasize is that all but 6 of the inmates were not exonerated but were released due to petty technical issues such as failure to file a piece of paper on time. these inmates did the crimes; they were just let off on technicalities. so don''t get too teary-eyed or self-righteous with respect to the criminals who await execution.

I suggest that fibonacci ignores mitchoncbs'' posts as they are neither informative nor amusing

I also dated a guy once whose parents lived in Matamoros, Mexico. They had plastered all over the front page of the paper some guy who had p-issed off the police down there, and they found his decomposing corpse with his eyeballs DRILLED OUT.

There was also the situation back in 1989 about the kid, Mark Kilroy, an American who was murdered in Mexico. They believed that by sacrificing a sprink-breaker that they would have immunity for getting caught manufacturing drugs. They hit one guy over the back of the head with a machete, and another person was buried with a piano wire up his spine, so his vertebrae could be extracted later and worn as a ceremonial necklace.

And those people were pretty much immune from any US intervention. When they found the main guy, one of his associates shot him. I guess better that than a Mexican prison...after all, the US prisons are more like a country club.

Gang rape and strangulation of two teenage girls...I don''t give a *** where the Mexican guy is from...they believe in torture down there and there is no such thing as a legitimate legal system.

If the guy broke the law in the US, strangled and raped two girls...he should be hung by his B-alls in front of the Houston courthouse.

Get rid of all these creeps. I''m tired of paying for them.

I can git a .45 round for as cheap as .31 cents. Depending on the brand name and where made.
