Prinzowhales...Seems to me, if you theory is correct, they would have done it when the story first broke instead of waiting for a trail. There was plenty of time from the time the story broke to the trail that she could have unloaded.

tomanyt--I think they played the lady on her hopes and plans for retirement...they seized her assets...note...they do the same thing with people they want to co-opt...then they held a sentence over her head....if her customers thought she might sell them down the river...one of them might have sent in the crew.

I think there is still bad blood between McCain and the Bushies...Jeb Bush endorsed Romney...and McCain isn''t an attractive candidate. The Bushies could well have been trying to stab McCain in the back and someone stopped them.

If she had any information at all, she would have come out with it before the trial ever started. She had a lawyer. Why didn''t she tell or give Preston Burton the information. Why didn''t she keep her mouth shut until the trial came up and then unleash her "names". She tried her hand at bluffing and it clearly failed.

This really does smell like another Republican hit job. After all their crimes, lies, murder and other immorality, why would anyone doubt this was set up (maybe by Rove himself).

They had her silence through the trial...and a rationale for the ''suicide'' with the sentence...may well have given them time to make sure she didn''t have any evidence secreted anywhere--or, to have caught her secreting it.

There is also the possibility of two factions at work here...one trying to get her information to use against the other...if one had approached her and she was sounding cooperative, they might have shut her up before she proceeded.

Prinzowhales....I don''t think she was stupid. She was bluffing and it cost her. But again, it seem like if someone was interested in killer because of "what she knew", seems logical that they would have offed her before the trial started. Otherwise, if she really had names it would have come out at trial.
