- Iran is not provoking the US. It is going about its business, basically ignoring the shrub administration efforts to isolate it.
Thanks to the invasion of Iraq and the following quagmire of 5 years, Iran hasn''t had to do one single thing to rise to a position of power. Shrub and co did that for them and now they are trying to stuff the genie back in the bottle!!

Current Iranian enrcihment ability is only sufficient for commercial fuel. It is FAR harder to make weapons grade uranium...it''''s the difference between say 3.2 beer and 180 proof rum.
That being said, the Iranians are only 4-5 years away from the capability if trends continue.
However, the Iranians aren''''t stupid enough to try and field a nuke..it would mean instant annihiliate from the US and Israel. They may build a nuke, but they''''d never use it offensively.
