Maybe the Detroit Mayor needs to disassociate himself from her and everything will be ok...AS IN OBAMA''S CASE!

mbcsmith: there may be many reasons to disagree and/or take shots at "libs", but this ain''t one of them. the whole city (save for a few people who just hate "whitey") knows that kwame salami and christine (scotty pippen in drag) beatty are guilty. basically, another cheap shot.

**** What kind of society are we that - we''''d rather prosecute 2 consenting adults for lying about se*x and intending to Jail them - while nothings being done about an undercover CIA operative being outted for political reasons or the many lies thats still taking the lives of our troops ..... But Repugs really want all the se*x stuff fully prosecuted and don''''t give a Fck about the really serious *****. Cheers!

Yeah, so what if he illegally fired the cops investigating him. Yeah, so what if he committed perjury.
LIBS just don''t get it!

But for the married mayor and the now-divorced Christine Beatty, the outcome of their secret relationship referred to in the excerpts has been embarrassment, felony charges and possible prison time for both.

JohnGoodnews: Have you read the text messages? Christine Beatty was the one in love. Kwame Salami is just a playa who was taking advantage of her. Both lied under oath, though. There is so much more to it, but you would have to have been following it from the beginning. Firing police officers, a hooker being murdered, allegedly being found by Kwame''s wife, Carlita (a woman who is so far in Denial, that she is in the Suez) servicing her husband, and more fun stuff coming out of The D. Also, Magilla Gorilla going to city churches and lying to them, and blaming "the suburbs" (code word for "whitey"). This keeps getting funnier every day. If Kwame had any go-nads, he would resign, or pull a R. Budd Dwyer.

CBS has only touched the surface. Google "detroitYES.com" and if the forum section doesn''t come up right away, search for it and get a real insight to what locals are thinking and saying...As a bonus, the web site also has photos of Detroit, past and present; stories, and links to Detroits two newspapers and several of its radio and TV stations. Even if you don''t care a fig about two adults (who should know better) engaging in bedroom gymnastics, this is a great site and offers all manner of information about Detroit and SE Michigan.

People who are under high levels of stress, and who are thrown into close personal contact where they depend on each other and trust each other, literally, with their lives in some cases, can easily become fast friends or lovers for life. It is almost impossible to describe how deeply personal and self-defining such relationships can become. The problem is that those who are going to be doing the judging don''t have a clue, and most likely never will, as to the bond between such people. That these deep and binding friendships and love may end up destroying those whom the gods have blessed in letting taste the depths of binding friendship and love is a fact of life that Greek authors understood so well in writing their plays.

I envy the love the two have for each other. And I can say easily, no matter how this all turns out, the two of them will always love each other too deeply to ever forget, no matter where or with whom they end up.

I''m waiting for so-called black leaders to declare that Kilpatrick is a VICTIM of a government conspiracy. I guess they are too busy in other places crying racism where there is none. I know that Sharpton and Jesse don''t actually believe this idiot brought this on himself. Naw, Sharpton and Jesse can''t think that reasonable.

Hopefully the people of Detroit will throw this bum out and let the next mayor know that he works for the people and is NOT the boss.

You are correct, it would be interesting if all the "married" politicians and CEOs with "playthings" on the side were "outed".
