Indiana Police: 12-Year-Old's Beating By Classmates Inspired By Widely-Viewed Fla. Attack
- Why would anyone want the schools to have to take responsbility for the actions of these little monsters off school grounds? Doesn''t the education community have enough to do?

The schools do not have jurisdiction for actions that occur off of school property. They are ONLY responsible for things that happen on school property or at school events. Precautions will mostly likely be taken to monitor these students, but because it occured in the purvue of the POLICE, the schools can''t and shouldn''t do anything. - Reply to this comment
- These videos have been on YouTube for years. It is far past due for authorities to start prosecuting. I think there should be a federal team which notifies local authorities, who then prosecute.
In many of the videos, one of the people does not want to fight at all. Some don''t even resist, but offer peace. Then, the aggressor attacks. Posting is just an effort to humiliate their victims. - Reply to this comment

Wow, is this really necessary and pertinent? Anyway... there are very few consequences anymore for children, we praise them for every dang thing they do, and don''t correct their behavior for fear of stifling their egos. The egos are too big right now, and these girls need some intensive real world training. They may think they''re untouchable right now, but someone with a bigger stick or bigger gun, a past victim of their little shenanigans, is going to perform a little payback... it won''t ever end. - Reply to this comment

- This just reinforces my point that (some) women are just as violent as (some) men.
Neither gender is more innocent or more violent than the other; we''re all equally human.
And it''s time to apply that equality to domestic violence laws, where women are just as likely to be the agressor.

- Wow. And I thought Ritalin was supposed to stop this kind of behavior in kids. Must be time for some new chemical that we have no idea what it will produce once the kids go through puberty. As for more God is schools being the answer, I am a Catholic school graduate / survivor & I can assure you that we had more than our share off gang whuppins and proto-sociopaths, usually in the name of God. Lets just get to the basics of trying to teach kids to be decent to one another instead of being jerks as a step in the right direction. Of course, monkey-see, monkey-do: it does require that the adults stop acting like idiots as an example and as I don''t see that happening any time soon, I''d say we''re pretty much doomed.

- We need to put God back into our schools and our every day life. Without God, nothing good will ever come of this world. I bet these girls never even heard of God.

That isn''t all. She may not have thrown the first punch but she lured the victim there and she did assault her with rocks. That makes for assault with a deadly weapon. You would feel different if it were one of your family. - Reply to this comment
