A Kentucky Eighth-Grader Faces Charges Of Wanton Endangerment For Attacking Classmate
- I meant that we could "what if" because someone stated "what if the kid had died." And we could "what if" this thing to death but it won''t change the facts. I just believe that trying a 13 year old for attempted murder isn''t the best way to deal with this. As a parent of a disabled child I know what it does to a kid to be bullied, but even if it were my kid i still wouldn''t want them to try the child for attempted murder.

- I hated the foster homes growing up as the abuse in them..I am 74 grad..I have seen changes in America that started in the 60s..I ''member Mr Walker telling the teachers they can''t tonch a child..They surely had no idea how to educate, make mind a blind kid in a sighted school and the same in foster homes. I was bullied and I bullied back. It back fired. I do thank the teackers that helped me..Years ago it was better. Not so much for me..Today they are bloody lazy. We learnt to read using D i c k Jane and Spot readers. Took penmenship. grammar math spelling am poor in,we had recess.. I think this nation is gonna be sorry in its way the schools are going, that bush is the blame..I think about it and am sad.

Where did I learnt to be a bully a teacher asked when I was in school I said this the foster homes and that was true. I was barred from school as years ago us who are handicapped was not allowed there.. 10 I went to school. I WAS NOT TAUGHT HOW TO DEAL WITH THE SEEING WORLD AND THEY THE LEGALLY BLIND WORLD. - A teenager who intentionally exposes someone to something that can kill him/her is not a bully, he is a sociopath. Even if he thought he was being funny or doing a prank, at 13 he''s old enough to understand death and the consequences of poisoning someone. This bully needs some kind of treatment program.

- Kids live in this mindset, that nothing will ever happen to them, no matter what they do. Can act ignorant, disrespectful, mean, stupid, be a bully, inflict great harm on others, and nothing will happen. Why? Because thy are told frm the day they enter daycare, school, what ever, that anything other than a smile, and a time out, is considered child abuse. I have heard children scream at there parents in public that they can not be told no, or hey will hit themselves and call the police and yell child abuse. I know of many HS kids who have done it, just to get out of being grounded, so they can go to a game, or do something they want to do. Parents are cornered by there children, and told by the law, they arent allowed to spank, or discilpine there kids, so..welcome to the new American Felons....at any age under 18..

- I don''t remember problems like this when I was in school (1975 high school graduate). However, I DO remember saying the pledge of allegiance every morning, being able to pray before ballgames and getting paddled for mis-behaving (didn''t do that again!)

- Actually, the kid should be remanded to some kind of rehab program designed to %u201Ccure%u201D bullies. It%u2019s the parents that ought to be prosecuted for RAISING a bully. Not only should that be a criminal offense, it should be at least as serious as attempted murder.
The bullying mindset is responsible for a significant percentage of what is wrong with American society and bullies are 100 percent responsible for tragedies like Columbine. The old stand-by excuse of %u201CI was just playing%u2026%u201D should be taken as a confession. - Reply to this comment
