Not all white people have political connections and money to keep up with a moderate lifestyle anymore.
Last time I checked out the billionnaire''s list, white people were in the minority of the super rich. There are other prisoners falsely accused who aren''t so lucky as this man. I''m happy to see that he has someone to stand by him. I''m not jealous to see parents who are able to afford cars for their children; they inherited money, so what? I couldn''t afford one of the gas guzzlers anyway. This can happen to anybody yes. If you are poor, you receive a court appointed lawyer, which is better than no lawyer at all I suppose. They certainly aren''t the best lawyers, but since tax dollars pay their fees, if you''re poor you can''t complain. This is the way of the world. The Rich get Richer. They know how, they don''t blame other people, they are better schemers and crooks. Lawyers aren''t the most ethical people in the world out there. With all the scams, rip offs, outright lies, bought and sold political favors, I''m surprised that people still believe white people have the keys to the universe. I just lost $34.99 which was electronically withdrawn from my bank account. I haven''t lost it, because the bank will refund the money, but, I didn''t think the banks could withdraw money without the consent of the account owner. There''s more to this story, but I''m off topic and angry at the moment. Crime isn''t white faced, black faced, yellow faced. I''m happy this man got some justice.

In a world full of the most horrendous injustices, it is great satisfaction to see the innocent finally have their day. I join others in wishing Mr. Logan the happiest of possible lives from this day forward. It is also my wish that the institutions and individuals responsible for the gross injustice in this matter do all that is possible and not yet possible to restore his lost 26 years of liberty. Release from imprisonment isn''t near restitution enough. A clear message of genuine regret must be sent that, in itself, will give the nation back its belief in a humane and loving culture.

I commented on this story before your release, sir, I am so happy that you have the attitude that you do and I know you and your family will move forward. God Bless you and may the rest of your life be full and rewarding and that you can somehow bury the past. All the best to all of you.

I would like to know just why the Hell the two lawyers responsible for an innocent man being imprisoned for 26 years did not post the $1000 bond? And I''ll bet the moon the two lawyers responsible for an innocent man being imprisoned for 26 years won''t represent him at no charge!!

mcv57,

Which is another reason why I have issue with the death penalty. Two people can commit the same crime, but depending on their socio-economic levels the penalty will be completely different. A society doesn''t show that it hates an act by punishing somebody who is already not valued in a society. It''s easy to punish someone you hate already. It''s very hard, but even more important, to punish someone you value.

Broken and Corrupt, but corruption moreover. History dictates that legal and political environment share the same bed. If we have no reverend leadership in the White House, then we have no justice. The government and law enforcement system is a self-servicing wh*or*e where money buys both justice and power. FORGET ABOUT THE TRUTH.

The innocent and the victims of this corrupt government is slowing destroying any reference to its people or the U.S. Constitution. Ethics and truth are also victims of the public.

facts6,

I agree about poverty and sentencing, however you can''t deny that race has played a role in our society as well. We can deny it, but it doesn''t make it false.

"""These types of injustice are far less likely to be visited upon "White" people."""

I disagree with the "White" issue. Its more "perceived as poor people".

A very young relative was arrested for murder because he had dreads, was working day labor, and generally looked impoverished. Could have easily been taken for a street person.

The "authorities" were stunned when the family walked in.
