You are wrong; the Catholic church does not promote anti-gay rights; it is the behavior not the person. We have many, many openly gay people at my church, and they are always welcome and feel loved and accepted. As far as reproductive rights, there are forms for non reproduction that are allowed in the church and have been practiced for centuries. If you are not Catholic, you would not know that, and I am not going to get specific. Figure it out. The purpose of his visit was not to tell us what we have done wrong, but to keep us mindful on human rights. Jesus said, "love one another as I have loved you". He also praised America for all that it has done, and said at the very beginning of his sermon to the Bishops what a generous loving country we are, and we are. Believe me, the Pope loves America. When the Pope speaks about the gay issue, abortion, contraception, he is speaking to Catholics. Sooo... if you are not Catholic don''t worry about it. I don''t care what the Protestants do or the Methodists do and the rest. The Pope of is a man of Peace. He certainly isn''t going to get into our politics or Bush''s administration, like gas prices. This is not the purpose of his visit.

If this Pope was human being and an honest man,

he would have said something to confront Bush and

McBushCain about the torture they inflict on prisoners

MBushCain should be ashamed

roger_inkart,
I actually wasn''t lying.
The UN Declaration of Human Rights does not have several of the basic human rights guaranteed to us by the Bill Of Rights.
That''s why the UN''s Declaration of Human Rights is not worth the paper it''s printed on!

ioweighn,

you are just another right wing tool,

our government is a collective unit, you need a suoer majority to do anything,

the democrats hold a slight majority now but can not make any changes because the republicons control the filibuster,

when Clinton was president the repeblicons still controlled the congress and had the filibuster,

the republicons are responsible for all the garbage
since Reagan took over and starte turnung the USA

into a third world country, bush finished the job

if you don''t get you are a fool or a liar

The Taliban slaughtered families by the thousand, enslaved the children into suicide bombing camps, burned all schools to the ground and used Afghanistan to established a headquarters for a world wide terrorist network, and planned the 9/11 attacks all while Bill Clinton was President. The United Nations reported that the genocides of the Taliban and the Murdering 30 year dictatorship of Saddam Hussein probably cost two million lives. But no Democrat alive has ever had a harsh word for these genocidal murderers. Angry Hatefilled Democrats like hermitDave can only spit Hate and Anger for anything American or anything Christian just like their partners in IRAN and Al Qaeda. This is the "New Change for America" That Democrats are promising us.

Now it is the Taliban that was responsible for 911, all this time I thought it was bin Laden and al-Quaeda who were the bad guys.
