Comments on: Pope: Sex Abuse "Badly Handled" By Church
Addressing American Bishops, Benedict XVI Offers His Harshest Criticism Yet Of Scandal
- In the Bible God said, Place no man before me; I don''t think people are paying attention.
Children are being brutalized & disgraced their innocence is taken away by someone who''s suppose to teach Love, Kindness and help you understand about God.
How do you think these children our children feel when this happens to them, someone they are taught to trust.
No disrespect, Is the Church and thier members ABOVE THE LAW? Where''s the JUSTICE? Why arent''t all the priest that commit sexual crimes against children in JAIL. Who cares what happens to them, they didn''t care about the children they were abusing so why should they care if someone abuses them.
IT''S A DISGRACE to all Mankind. Think about this; What if you sent your child to church for Spiritual Guidance and someone put thier *** inside them? Sounds DISGUSTING, that''s because it is!! Put yourself in the children''s shoes shoes
Why does the Church get to make up thier own rules? You know you need help, go get it.
How is United States of America suppose to prosper and raise good, honest people if their being corrupted...Who can protect our children? Why hasn''t any of the Candidates mentioned anything about pedophiles.
Everyone speaks about Children being the future, What children??? Where are the children were protecting..
Who are we to turn to for JUSTICE.
you have to speak out & be outspoken
God Bless all children
Listen to your kids, watch their behavior & never say never

- I agree with the Pope. I think the *** abuse was badly handled by the church, as well. Maybe that''s because they''re still "practicing" *omo*exuals, and don''t have it down well, yet.

- I don''t like this Pope. but what really surprises me is the level of anti-catholicism that still exists in America. The abuse scandal certainly is a terrible thing. But Catholics themselves are not bad people. I see Dirty Catholic written here. I do not think that is necessary.

- why he is not arrested like this mormans in texas?
this is for the dirty filthy president bush to see how far he can trample the nice clean mormans and the rights and freedoms of all americans, filthy and clean.
so he can do whatever he pleases and you can do NOTHING but point the finger at these mormans.
and all the time he is kissing the hand of this pope who uses the same hand to molest hundreds and thousands of the little children. - Reply to this comment
- Tell us something we DON''T know, Bennie! Tell us what you''re going to do that''s different from your predecessors. Oh that''s right, YOU were the one who handled most of these cases for the church back before you were Pope!

- fibonacci can I ask you a question? Why do you not believe in God at all. I am sincerely interested. I have had some really bad experiences in my life and my daughter is severely disabled. I have lots of reasons not to believe. I do, but I accept people who don''t. If I''m being nosy, tell me to buzz off. I won''t ask you again

- Just as an addition to what I already said. 45.1 percent of Canadians are Roman Catholics. That comes from their last official census which was done in 1991. I don''t like this Pope. But I like falsehoods even less.

- "handled badly" - he''s still handling it badly. He picks one of the worst coverup, pedophile protecting Cardinals for the honored position of his escort, another he still has safe in Rome, promoted to a prestigious and luxurious position, where he''s protecting him from American LE questions, from lawsuits to get him to tell the truth.
They haven''t changed a thing. They''re still handling it badly. - Reply to this comment

- Un-like the Bushman, the Pope take responsibility for the s*e*x scandel and is ashamed for this outrage. On the other hand, the Bushwacker only denies everything and insist war continues.

- Would it be a shocker if the Pope rebukes Bush for his violation of the Geneva Convention: Torture, and tomorrow the Bushwacker repents and repeals his policy.

The Lord did say, "those of you who are least shall be first; those of you great shall be last." Its too people like you with no faith only have torment and death to hope for. Jesus said, "those who do not believe are already comdemned." - Reply to this comment
- SharnCedar where does your information come from. Do you know who it was who were the original founders of Canada? The first explorer was Portuguese. The second was French. (The Vikings didn''t stay long-there weren''t enough of them). The French brought Jesuit priests with them. Ever heard of Marquette? That''s who he was. Canada does not and never has hated Catholics. French Canada has distinctly Catholic culture. English Canada less so but they do not hate Catholics. Shame on your falsehoods!

- SharnCedar I do not particularly like this Pope. But we are not a Protestant nation. I have heard more than one person espousing that. Where does that come from? We are a nation of many faiths with a secular govermental authority that upholds the right of every American to practice their religion supported by a document and laws called the Constitution. Make sense to you?

- It is absolutely absurd to believe in a religion because they are all equally groundless. No evidence to even suggest the possibility they could be correct.

- The pope and Bush, Bush and the pope, pope and Bush, Bush and pope.
The Bush, and the the pope, and the little Bushes, and the papists from Mexico, and Italy, and Ireland - and Bush. And the pope.
Where is America? The country of freedom, the country that fought papism for 200 years? We have a president, or should I say a Bush, a Bush and a pope.
He kneels to the pope, he worships the pope. He is Bush, and he loves the pope.
What religion is Bush? Does he say he is a Protestant? Protesting what? Protestant against what? Perhaps BUSH IS A PROTESTANT AGAINST PROTESTANTISM. Perhaps he "protests" Protestants. with the pope. He and the pope. Bush and the pope.
They burn figures of Martin Luther and laugh. Perhaps Bush and the pope and Bush believe Martin Luther was a "terrorist" - and he needs a little inquisition.
Torture, pope, Bush, Bush and torture, pope and torture, Bush and the pope.
