Forgiveness is a beautiful concept. Trouble is, like most good things, it''s abused. People who know they can be forgiven any sin and taken into the church''s protection act as though they have a license to sin. The grace of God forgives the predator, but leaves the victim horribly scarred. A kinder God would allow these poor boys to forget the pain, the fear, the shame and the humiliation brought on them by predator priests.
