Reports: Senior Officials Kept President Bush In Dark Over Meetings On "Torture" Tactics
- These evil neo con men identify a problem and then create it. Let''s attack an unarmed Muslim country to steal their oil thus causing Al Quada to flock in and then say there are terrorists there.
Actually there are terrorist there sponsored by the US Government, the military. Most of the Iraqi "terrorists" are simply defending their homeland against the invaders......just like you would. - Reply to this comment
- believe McCain or Gore would have gone after the true architect of 9/11. There was a huge spin job by the administration in the run up to war with Iraq and shame on congress on both sides of the isle for believing everything that they were fed.

If ANYONE else was in the White House there wouldn''t have been a 911--we know who the real architects are. - Reply to this comment
- Speakinup-That was over a year b4 he left office. Iraq had time to dismantle their WMD''''s. And besides he didnt have to feed us such a huge pack of lies to sell it to us.
By refusing to answer my question I understand you.
You just became inconsequential.

There was nothing to dismantle--they were chemicals provided to Hussein during the Regan reign--that have long since dissipated.
Have to come up with another reason for attacking an unarmed country. - Reply to this comment

- Okay, I looked it up in three dictionaries. A false statement is a lie. No question about it. If you are mistaken, then the correct thing to do is say ''mistaken'', if ignorant - say ignorant. However, ignorance is not a viable defense in a court of law.

- "AaaBee. Wrong - it is not semantics to say that a false statement was made, when compared to a lie. One implies ignorance of facts, the other twisting facts. At the time the 934 false statements were made, they were believed to be factual. BOTH sides of the aisle were saying the SAME THINGS. But did the article mention that - nope. What does that tell you AaaBee ?
Does the word ''bogus'' come to mind ?
Or how about ''conspiracy'' ?
so I guess AaaBee left the page - too bad, I''m worried for his house of cards. - Reply to this comment

- SgtRDS - you lack of intelligence has only been exceeded by lack of content on this blog.
No wonder you aren''t in the service any longer - you always were too big of a target.
J - pick a side of the fence and hop over to it.
Don''t tell me I can''t see my sins in one sentence and then in the next try to tear down religion.
What has King David, or the Jews got to do with anything in this conversation.
But since you brought it up - how long have the Jews been there, as compared to say the Palestinians ?

- speakinup,,,, Our far right wing has the inibility to examine their own sins & sins of our country or even Israel''s --- They ignore biblical references to wage genocide & aparthied for a biblical prophacy.
King David, who''s kingdom they want to restore was an outlaw, and practiced adultery.... The Book of Samuel tells people to murder men, women & children. - Reply to this comment

- J - this administration has made plenty of mistakes!
NO DENIAL there.
I don''t like some of things that have been done over the last 8 years.
But I''m not going to slant everything I hear to further that dislike. That is NOT being introspective, that is being ''self-serving''. - Reply to this comment

- j-whitman - why J, thank-you, you DO have the civility to admit to being wrong every once in a while.
Which is PRECISELY why I defend you when other ''good'' Republicans ''misunderstand you''.

Symantics, ***.
Think about it. 934 False Statements, 934 of them.
Is that how you want your bank to run your finances, with 934 mistakes?
Or your tax return people to make a $934 error in favor of the IRS?
Or your mortgage company to erroneously charge you $934 in late charges every month?
But you are okay with the fact that your government took us into a trillion dollar war with 4000 lives lost to date, by way of 934 false statements and NO ONE was held accountable.
