Reports: Senior Officials Kept President Bush In Dark Over Meetings On "Torture" Tactics
- Limbaugh, another pudgy, white, elitist male who has profited from the bush/cheney fear and panic he has help spread. And Rove, etc. etc. etc.

- The right wing is so deeply into fixing elections that we may actually be at the point where we need election monitors from other countries observe and report on election fraud. Posted by SgtRDS at 05:15 PM : Apr 11, 2008
Well, as long as Tokyo Rose Limbaugh is happy with the new arrangement, I won''t complain. He is probably more responsible for the fracturing of this nation into ineffective bits than any other man alive, current administration included.
Yet, he too will die. Perhaps Satan will chain him to a dead microphone with a pill bottle of perscription drugs labeled FREEDOM just inches from his straining fingers. That would remind him how the rest of us felt watching America die. - Reply to this comment
- Everything I stated in my last post is happening. Its on the news, reported often, but most people will not take the time to find out how the Patriot Act and other measures the bush/cheney administration have made into law effect us. US citizens are being held without the due process guaranteed them as citizens, without charges, just on a suspicion they MAY have terrorist connection, no matter how tenuous. One prisoners connection: he donated to a legitimate charity, BEFORE 9/11, that wasn''t even suspected of being terrorist related until 2002. For this he was arrested and prevented from seeing his family or an attorney. Why aren''t you enraged?

Because we are protected by our loyalty to the furor. While they take you liberals away in chains, we will be safe in our new chains, happy that our view will now be the only view, and wealthy....no, wait. With the liberals gone, who will be the serf class? US!!! No, we were loyal, we were loyal, you can''t turn on us and make us your servants. We were loyal. You can''t turn on us.

- I fully expect it. I can''''t imagine Rove, the elections engineer is doing nothing these days. A man like him giving up dreams of taking over an entire country for selfish, personal, and political gain?
Posted by AaaBee at 05:08 PM : Apr 11, 2008
I fully expect them to try to fix it too. The nightmare scenario is Barack leading by 20 points going into the election and McCain winning by a nose. Then we''ll get all of the right wing pundits saying that it just proves how bad polls are when the truth is much more sinister. The right wing is so deeply into fixing elections that we may actually be at the point where we need election monitors from other countries observe and report on election fraud. - Reply to this comment
- Bush/cheney backers: Why are you not enraged that because of the unconstitutional portions of the Patriot Act and other measures the government will monitor these boards? They will key in on certain statements and use them to investigate every part of your life, past and present? That you no longer have a private life? That they no longer have to have probable cause to invade your life? That it would not be paranoia for you to wonder if what you are saying is being placed in a government ''file'' as an unfriendly? That all of this is now ''legal'' (sic)? That the government can enter a citizens home without a warrant, without notifying them before OR letting them know they were ever there? All of this is being conducted by OUR government, they used the same false intelligence to create panic and hysteria to coerce Congress to pass these Acts. If this isn''t ''Big Brother'' yet, it%u2019s the beginning. How can this not bother and concern you as a citizen?

- If I were a Republican [pause for laughter] I would be furious at the Bush hijacking of my party. I would be screaming louder than liberals to be rid of the bastid.

The first time I could vote in a presidential election I actually voted republican for Jerry Ford. Since then I haven''t seen one who actually practice what they preach about no deficits, no national debt, no nation building and privacy for citizens. They lie to their base supporters and the supporters eat it up. Very strange. - Reply to this comment

If I were a Republican [pause for laughter] I would be furious at the Bush hijacking of my party. I would be screaming louder than liberals to be rid of the bastid. He represents none of the essential foundational planks conservatives love to hold up as sanctified by God (as if God sanctifies lapel pins and bumper stickers). I will never understand the disconnect. - Reply to this comment
- 283 days left, unless America freaks out at the voting booth. Then its 283 days left of Bush and 4 more years of McBush.

- You can put your fancy word definitions on one of the 4000 fresh headstones. Yes, it is that serious.
Posted by AaaBee at 04:47 PM : Apr 11, 2008
To Bush supporters though it''s not serious. In the first place they don''t REALLY consider or troops to be actual human beings, just statistics. When you challenge them though they know they have no moral ground to stand on so the revert to lawyer/debate team tricks and split hairs to "win" the argument. It''s a very cheap and transparent move, but it''s all they have left when trying to defend the indefensible. - Reply to this comment
- Bush lied. He is in denial. Cheney is a pudgy, white, elitist who doesn''t give a *** about this country except how he and other pudgy, white men can profit from their power positions. Cheney/Bush hold most Americans in contempt. Only the elite, under their definition, are worthy. They are dinosaurs. The harm they have done this and other countries may be irreparable. Nixon was an amateur compared to them.

No, hon. I didn''t answer because there is no answer for you. People have died in a war built on li...false statements and no one is held accountable. All you are giving me for justice are word definitions.
Funny, when Clinton did the meaning of "is" is at his impeachment trial for a BJ, you Republicans jumped all over him for word definitions, but here you are defending Bush for doing the same thing, with far far worse ramifications.
So you see, I can''t answer you. I commend you on your Bush defense and say, you win; not a Kewpie Doll, but a dead soldier.

- speakinup has a problem with facts and full disclosure. Nothing like trying to make your point by heavy editing and omissions from original material. Another person who has lost the true meaning of the Bill of Rights and republic form of government, that the government is supposed to answer to the citizens and the principles our Country was founded on and most of us still believe in. This administration has done everything it can get away with to undermine all of the above, and more.
