I agree with nustsie11,this Marine is done stick a fork in his a.s.s.,and turn him over.The state will get a conviction,because his old lady offered him up to keep herself out of prison.She also is a Marine that is why it is so hush hush about her ,the military don''t discuss everything with the media,and really not with the local police.I served 12 yrs. in the Army so I know that C.I.D.,has it''s own case against this guy.Even if it is only the rape charge his goose is cooked.He knows that,and that is why he booked to Mexico.

Also since he was communicating with his wife, it is procedure to keep the wife under surveillance so i am sure that is how they locared which area of Mexico he happened to be in. I also think it is commendable that she refused to aid him. He created this problem , not his wife. May she now move on with her life and enjoy her future. She did the right thing .

I also agree with ranger1948.This one bad seed will not effect the Few and the Proud.Hell Timothy McViegh did not destroy the Army.He was a decorated soldier also,Bronze Star for Bravery and Valor.He was also,a loser who flunked out of the Q course to be a Ranger.If the man did this crime,he should be executed no doubt!

Corporal needs Corporal punishment.This Marine forgot the meaning of the Marine Corps sacred oath,Semper Fidelis ( Always Faithful).What a loser.I cant blame his family for not helping him.I would not have helped my brother flee if he had done something like this.That poor girl,and small child.Her last hour on this earth must have been pure hell.He should be punished by the State,then under the UCMJ which he can because there is no double jeopardy.This will guarantee he never sees the world except through bars,and razor wire the rest of his days.

I made the transition and i think i saw more than your nephew did in war. I would suggest he get into counseling as soon as he returns. Many veteran groups have group sessions with ex war veterans. I wasn''t offered counseling unil 6 years after i came back. I think what helped me was i changed jobs when i came back and became an electrician. The point of being able to build and fix things did more for me mentally than anything else could have. I also went on to finish my college degree. My point is if i could do it so can your nephew. Be there for him and give him your support. He will need it. He deserves all the help he can get.
