$140 k would solve my problems TODAY TOMORROW AND THE NEXT!!!! I don''t have cable, only have a cell phone, no furniture in my home, couldn''t afford it, not even a kitchen table or sofa. I have struggled HARD, VERY HARD MOST OF MY LIFE. I was a single mother who raised an AUTISTIC child and two sons. I have two degrees and worked in hospitals cleaning *** on floors and worked as an Adm Asst for a VP of an insurance company making $45k just six months ago. I''ve worked two jobs before barely making $9 an hour, I worked my way through college, and have babysit other kids just be buy diapers when my kids were young while trying to study. SO don''t tell me about over expenses, or making your own luck. HELL if there were any truth to that, I would be a millionaire right now. To read about someone finding luck and throwing it away--- well I have a problem with that much stupidity! GET A GRIP!!!! REALLY GET TO REALITY!!! FIND IT!

"STUPID IN TODAY''''S ECONOMY, GASOLINE PRICES HITTING $4+ AT THE PUMPS ALL ACROSS THIS COUNTRY"

So your saying with the economy as it is, its OK to steal? Keeping something that is not rightfully yours without even trying to find the real owner is stealing. You should lose your wallet and dog, and should not have them returned to you as in your eyes alls fair.. So if its OK to steal because of the economy is it OK to assault and burglarize and murder now too??? Karma will deal the right hand, you do right you get right, you do wrong, it will come back twice as bad...

YEP IT WAS STUPID AND IN POLLING MOST OF THE COMMENTS ON THIS BLOB REGARDING THIS STORY...THE MAN WAS STUPID. I WISH IT HAD BEEN ME. I WONDER IF HE WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT BACK IF HE WAS WITHOUT A JOB, WITH NO INCOME, AND NO FOOD, NO TRANSPORTATION, AND ABOUT TO LOSE ALL HE HAD WORKED FOR. I WONDER WHAT HIS DECISION WOULD HAVE BEEN THEN. I''VE SEEN ALOT OF THESE STORIES OVER THE YEARS AND THE PEOPLE WHO GIVE THIS TYPE OF MONEY BACK NEVER HAVE A GOOD AURA AFTER THAT... I SEE IT AS GIVING BACK A TRUE BLESSING.. AND BLESSING AND MIRACLES ARE HARD TO COME BY THESE DAYS JUST LIKE INCOME IS. WE ARE HEADING FOR A DEPRESSION IF THINGS DON''T TURN AROUND AND TO FIND THIS TYPE OF WONDERFUL WINDFALL AND JUST GIVE IT BACK.... WELL THAT IS ON MY LIST OF THINGS I WOULD NEVER DO- WELL I AM OUTTIE GOTTA WALK MY DOG.... WHAT A NUTCAKE!!!!

You make your own luck. How is it that you''re wired to the internet? Do you smoke? Drink? Have a cell phone? a Pager? Cable TV? All those *necessities* in life that SOMEONE has now denied you. It doesn''t sound like $140k would begin to solve your problems.

It''s a joy reading a story about someone doing something good. He did the right thing. The snowball effect of *me, my, mine* is having a devastating effect on the fabric of our civilization. Lie & deny is the standard set by Bush and Cheney. That''s leadership for you - it''s works for them without consequence.

Another point to think about, that money didn''t belong to a CEO, it belonged to banks, to the people who deposit their paychecks into these banks, and what meager savings they may have. The reward that Brinks paid came from the company''s money. Not from the $140,000.

tbettick: I''d think twice about opening my home to someone who has the "screw you" mentality that onemill has. That is the type of person who thinks they are entitled to anything they can take/find. Onemill is scorning Mr. Estrada''s honesty and integrity--he will scorn (and take advantage of) your honesty and integrity and generosity.
