You were defending religious indoctrination of innocent children, which is child abuse. When you use tales of hell to scare children into believing something, it''''s wrong, plain and simple. And you tried to justify it by saying they have minds of their own. Sorry, I had you pegged correctly as defending child abuse. Think twice next time you decide to jump on the religious apologists bandwagon!

NO, you did not "have me pegged correctly." As usual, you have failed miserably with a little thing we''ll call context. You failed to read the post I was responding to. The poster said something to the effect of, "children usually grow up with the same religion of their parents." To which I playfully replied, "I wish. Alot of kids (really meaning teenagers) have minds of their own and disobey their parents, etc.." Then I said something like "havn''t you ever heard about those wild "preacher''s kids", then I followed the whole thing up with a smiley. :)
You took the whole thing out of context as I tried to tell you earlier. It really is not that important, but when I run across someone as arrogant as you, I can''t help but point out the fact that you are wrong.

Since the Mormon religion teaches abstinence when it comes to alcohol, these little girls can''t say the men plied them with liquor and got them drunk.

By the way, the Sheriff let this go on for many years because he too is Mormon. His secret Mormon name is Enos.

from what i have read, is that there were so many women because the missouri christains killed most of the men that someone had to care for them, not all of them had *** or had babies. they were care for so they would not starve. if you really want to act like you know what you are talking about, study on the subject from real sources and find out about why they had multiple wives. it was for survival, starvation, and not for ***, not perversion as the group in tx

The Mormons have *** with little girls because the Book of Mormon teaches them that masturbation is a sin.

the creator was probably chosen to show religious freedom, which in turn has been taken out of context of what our forefathers had in mind because of perversion of man.

freedom of religion was sot after because of heavy persecution in europe on forcing religion on the people, so the people in tx took freedom of religion away from its followers.

So, basically what you are saying is that the fundamentalist mormons of today are the SAME as the mormons of the pre-1890s. The only difference is that today that practice is outlawed. - Posted by down-ndirty

No. I am not equating polygamy with pedophilia. If Joseph Smith and his group were pedophiles, by the standards of the day, I might agree with you, but I have not heard as such.

Overall, I have to say Mormons are different. Just being in Utah felt strange to me. But this group I would not dignify by calling them a religion, at least as regards their leaders and the men. Whether the women were brainwashed and believed all of the rules were from God, I could not say, but I would put my money on saying they are victims of a group of pedophiles masquerading as a cult.

If *** with underaged girls passes for sacred among the FLDS, then, shut that religious cover for crime down as far as I''m concerned.

The words "including sect leader Warren Jeffs" ignores the fact that Jeffs formally resigned as President of the FLDS as per a press release Jeffs'' lawyers sent to CBS. CBS knews that already though due to my correcting a similar mistake not long ago. Why do you keep making that mistake CBS? Watch it, CBS will delete those words shortly after this posting, people.

zoe2006 wrote: "G*ds work, religious failure, lets not forget the catholic church and its rape of children by priests, and they showed a "blind eye" to what was happening to those kids. And people complain and condemn liberals and atheists."

I think we are seeing something distinctive. An increasing number of people are beginning to examine the concept of "belief" for themselves, and look at what they believe and the source of those beliefs and realize something smells in Denmark, so to speak.

I think we are reaching a tipping point where people are going to question ancient myth, legend, and folklore and redefine "religion" for a modern world.

I think we need to get away from calling the creative force we all see operating "God," because that word was born of patriarchy and represents something repressive and evil to many people.

"Creator" was chosen by U.S. founders, although it implies a singular active entity, which may not be the case.

he real proof is that the world is going to he11 in a handbasket, with the over-population and the over-pollution, and all the religious wars killing off people left and right.

I''m back--did you mean this about religions:

There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity, there is NONE that doeth good"

More biblical proof that Jesus came to save the world, not just the jews...

The key words are "biblical proof." Tangible, verifiable proof it is not. They are just words in a book.

The real proof is that the world is going to he11 in a handbasket, with the over-population and the over-pollution, and all the religious wars killing off people left and right.
