- Rather we ALL are to blame.
Pointing fingers, and punishment may make you feel better, but never solves the base problem created by capitalistic societal mores and contructs.
By releasing all blame and responsibility, we release ourselves, and free ourselves from the NEED to blame others.

Are you on crack??? No accountability for actions? No punishment for committing crime? Maybe we should give the really heinous ciminals a lollypop? Punishment isn''t for making ANYONE feel better. It''s not only the consequence for violating the rules of a civilized society, getting criminals out of the midst of innocent people living their lives, it''s a deterent. People like you and your massively ignorant points of view are so VERY dangerous... - Reply to this comment

- As a college Professor, I can impart some wisdom to this discussion. No one individual is ever to blame. Rather we ALL are to blame.

- I was deeply disturbed by the video that appeared on this mornings news. The girls that were beating her were like animals. Is this what this world is coming to. I am praying for you Lindsey. There is nothing that you could have done to deserve the brutal attack. The eight girls that were involved are extremely violent and should never be considered role models. Cheerleading is all about team work, loyalty and friendship. I saw none of that in this video. They should be removed from any sport that would make them role models. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

- I dont know about being tried as adults, since nobody actually got hurt permanently. But i think there should be juvenile JAIL time for anyone who hit this girl, during this pointless, brutal attack.
