Would it be offensive to have children dress as members of another race? I know it is acceptable to make fun of white people, but what about a white kid dressing up as a black or Asian? Seems that would be a PC problem.

These kids are making fun of each other anyway. The harm is already done. What is the purpose of this event to dress like the other *** or senior citizens? I would question the sheer value of this event, not the clothing. I see it as an opportunity for kids to be cruel, which unfortunately probably did happen. As far as the religious nuts, what is their problem. Dressing up might make Johnny Josephine?? I doubt that a stupid event like this will make them transvestites. Get real.

come on!!! These are kids, what''s the harm? For that matter, most girls wear jeans and shirts so there''s no real cross-dressing there. People are just afraid this will send all those boys who are obviously on the brink of being gay anyway will be sent over the edge and suddenly start lusting after other little boys. PUH-LEEZE, talk about a temptest in a teapot. I seriously cannot believe that these "Christians" don''t have anything better to do than complain their children might spend the day goofing around. I cannot believe how some of these idiots over-react. What about the number of teen-age pregnancies and STD''s that are sky-rocketing because of abstinence only education. Or the fact the U.S. is engaged in a war we can''t win. Or what about the number of Americans living in poverty. Or how about this one, the fact that our children rank very low in science in math. I think that any number of concerns rate over a day where kids can cross-dress. But I guess it''s easier to complain about this than change something that matters.
