Police Remove Children From Fundamentalist Mormon Compound After Complaint Was Made
- wimrpatriot; you may have misread crackers post. she doesn''t think they needed liberation.

- crickergirl, I read your post and agree with what you are saying. Nobody, who doesn''t have first hand information, knows precisely what they are talking about.
I live in a neighborhood so to and I see young girls pregnant and on the government dole all the time. Here the churches mentor the young boys and try to keep them from joining gangs, etc. Their goal is to teach the young that they can honor themselves and not fall for all the craziness in the world. I hope someone is mentoring the young females and advising them not to sell themselves short and burden themselves before they are old enough to logically make decisions regarding their own lives.
I was happy to note that a Baptist church liberated the young people from a situation that might have gone bad for them.
The young people are still alive and well.
I noticed that the liberation was done in a humane manner which certainly was a relief.
These young people now have a chance to live life as they see fit. I hope they find life better, but life is difficult no matter which scenario we find ourselves in.
God doesn''t kill people.

- We aren''t talking about a polygamist sect that only allows adult women to make an informed and free choice to participate in a plural marriage. We are talking about Jeff''s group originally from AZ/Utah.

- A friend of mine took a second wife without telling his first wife! He continued living with his first wife and visited his second wife from time to time, she lived in a different part of the city. However, his first wife understood and there was a huge scandal. He now builds a 3-floor house for her in order to make her to shut up and not to tell this in public. Plus divorce

- This is a perfect place to mention something that I''ve long wanted to mention. Joseph Smith said, if the US Congress does not bring justice to the Saints by giving redress for the wrongs committed against them by Missouri in the Mormon Missouri War of 1838, "they shall be broken up as a government." Keep this in mind if Romney becomes McCain''s Vice Presidential running mate.

- I support this action by the Eldorado Police authorities. Forcing little girls to marry much older men against their will is deplorable and disgusting. It should be noted though that polygamists use the same "Intolerant" and "Bigot" arguments of the homosexuals so, one cannot accept that argument where homosexuals are concerned without also accepting it where polygamists are concerned. Take your pick! Personally, I reject the intolerant and bigot argument that both homosexuals and polygamists make regarding those who oppose their lifestyles.

- Why not? The husband should have 3, 4 or as many 3wives as he needs

- criker: just because I find fault with your story, doesn''t mean I dont'' know what I am talking about. You are obviously too close to be objective or you don''t have any problem with children ''marrying'' old men against their will, welfare fraud, etc. I most certainly know what I am talking about. These escapees are looking for attention to the problem, not themselves. Jeffs was convicted, which supports my position. I could say more, but facts are immaterial to you.

- to billpl,
your correct I''m from Colorado City and I still have contact with alot of family that still lives their.
to pfd572,
You have no idea what your talking about as with everything there is 2 sides to every story. And I know for a fact that most of the "escaped wives and kids" as you put tell what they think they want you to hear because their seeking attention and everything else people give to poor abused polygamists.
Also for your information are you aware that there a two different polygamists religions out in Colorado City - Reply to this comment

- For anyone too uninformed to know: LDS is NOT Christian! The Muslims also pretend to have jesus. But, like in Moronism, they have a FAKE jesus.
Read a KJV buybull for more details...

It''s ALL FAKE like Santa Claus and the tooth fairy!
Yeah READ the KJ VERSION of the babble, it has the same ''stone them to death'', ''KILL them by stoning them'' ''get a perfect bullock, KILL it, sprinkle the BLOOD on thy clothes and around the altar, and BURN the flesh for a sin offering''
Get your book of death into the fireplace quick. - Reply to this comment
- You know nothing about religion. RELIGION POISONS EVERYTHING!

No it''s the people(man), that poisons everthing. Man is not strong enough to follow a religous doctrine, plain and simple. - Reply to this comment
- Do you morons even read the story before commenting? This cult is from Utah and moved to TX a couple of years ago, basically on the run from the law. There is no real mormon population in Texas.
The Texas Child and Protective Services people should be commended. Maybe this cult can now move to San Francisco, where their "alternative lifestyle" and "free love" will more tolerated and possibly even embraced. - Reply to this comment
- What the Hell.....?

Real Jesus is the ONLY Son of God (not brother to Satan, as in LDS), is the SON of God (not merely a prophet as in Islam), and died on the cross for the salvation of ALL who believe in Him.
Read a KJV Bible for more details... (some other "translations" change and add, delete and modify sufficient to change the meaning.) - Reply to this comment
- bllbl: I live in AZ and I can say with little doubt that the men of Colorado City are users. Most of the women and children receive welfare because the ''husbands'' and fathers don''t support their families, the leadership controls the money of which there is plenty from businesses/real estate, they dominate public education, control law enforcement and hold the women hostage. The ''humble'' excommunicate the younger males once they reach their teens. The ''God fearing'' worship through a man, Warren Jeffs. If the majority were everything you say, the minority wouldn''t get away with child rape, force marriage, welfare fraud, etc. There are groups of escaped wives and daughters that can tell you about these ''good'' men.
